Nice place to stop on a walk - Edit
Nice village pub, with exposed beams and a cosy environment inside. We were popping in for a drink whilst on a walk but the heavens opened, so we stayed for a light lunch.
Read moreThe vegan options appear to have been thought up by meat eaters so the balance of flavour is a little off, but it's still a good effort and we enjoyed what we had. I went for the olives and flatbread starter. It could have done with more hummus and less olives as it was very salty, but it was enough for a light lunch. My partner ordered the harissa and coconut tagine, which had a good balance of sweet and spice and was well presented.
In a small place with limited choices, it's nice to see an otherwise traditional pub making a thoughtful effort to provide a variety of options.
