Looks like it closed! - Edit
I went looking for it last week, but it's not there anymore. Someone told me they relocated but after searching further down - still nothing. I asked another person, and they said it closed. It's a shame because I really wanted to try the food that was recommended on here and on google reviews!

Fun! - Edit
We ate here twice last week while we were in Hopkins. Once for lunch and once for dinner. They food was great and the service friendly. I’m in a family with varied food preferences and The Fat Mermaid has something for everyone. I had the falafel pita (which was outstanding) and the black bean burger ( not my favorite. Sweet and a bit dry.) There were lots of other things on the menu I’d like to try. When I’m back in Belize, I’ll definitely visit again!

Beach Vibe & Yummy Plant Based Options - Edit
The Fat Mermaid is such a fabulous little spot right on the beach, cool vibes and friendly staff. They have stuffed pita pockets (schwarma's) and plantain burgers (the black bean plantain burger is my absolute favourite) on the menu, and then the Chef always offers daily specials like curries, budda bowls and salads.
