Just Okay, Handful of Vegan Options. - Edit
The Fat Boar is a well presented pub serving traditional pub meals, including a couple of vegan starters and mains and vegan ice cream and sorbet for dessert.
Read moreThe vegan starters available were Salt & Pepper Cauliflower Bites and Mediterranean Falafel, and the mains were Vegan Chilli and a Veggie Burger that can be made vegan. I had the latter, which was just okay, and the portion was good, especially as the burger came with two vegetable patties.
I struggled to find decent vegan options in Wrexham city centre, and I therefore do not recommend The Fat Boar based on the food, but rather, due to the fact it is the one few non-chain eateries offering vegan food.

Selection not great - Edit
Was expecting a much better selection after reading the happy cow description. Not sure if things have recently changed? No separate vegan menu. A couple of starters, a couple of mains are vegan. I had aubergine and falafal burger, which was quite nice, but the bun was a bit standard and not a big portion of chips.

Great place for vegan/vegetarian food in Wrexham - Edit
We were really pleased when the waitress checked with us if we wanted our dishes vegan or vegetarian - gives a real sense of confidence that they know what's what! The tagine was really tasty, the baked burrito too.
