My savior

This is basically the only place to get vegan food in the morning around here. Grateful for the lemon blueberry scone and the wealth of labeled vegan options on the menu. Almost everything is or can be made vegan here. The staff is delightful and my food was prepared really quickly.

The real deal

This is a great old-school health food deli and store that stays true to the cause. All the right staples, plus new things to try. The counter menu offers enough variety to keep things interesting, and the lunch food was first rate: fresh and tasty. If you like commercialism and fancy corporate branding, this is not your place. But it certainly will be mine when I visit Norman again. App deducted a star for reasons of its own.

The app deducts a star when places are not fully vegan ;)

Can’t wait to go back

The people were great. The place is a little small so I almost missed it, probably just me, but I’m so glad I didn’t. I had the bagel sandwich this morning with tofu scramble and vegan cream cheese with all the topping. That was one of the BEST sandwiches I’ve ever had. I will definitely be going back. 🙂

Yummy options!!

I think this place probably is the most vegan forward in norman. It is also a small store so you can get other items for later. I had a bagel sandwich with tofu scramble and a ginger molasses cookie. Really flavorful. I wish i had known about them sooner! We will be back.

Pros: Options, Also a store , Flavorful

Loved the food!

We had the bagel sandwich with tofu scramble, frito chili pie, and loaded nachos. Everything was delicious. The vegan cheese on the nachos was delicious! Plenty of food.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Vegan cheese, Vegan sour cream

Cons: Busy, No indoor seating

The Earth feels like a home spot.

This is kind of my go to spot when I'm wanting something I can rely on. Lots of great options and a great place to visit as well.

Worth TWO trips!

Our two year old devoured his (vegan) groovy grilled cheese and my carnivorous parents loved their (vegan) Reubens but the vegan “chicken salad”, loaded nachos and the rotating vegan baked goods were my favorites!

Pros: Lots of Vegan options , Comfort foods - popular with the whole family!

Cons: Minimal seating (all outdoors)

College go-to!

Earth was my go-to spot for vegan-friendly options across from campus at OU. I was never disappointed, the food and service were always perfect.

Awesome Spot!

I was passing through on a trip last summer and found using Happy Cow, I loved everything I ordered!! I got nachos & a vegan BLT, it was so amazing we came back for breakfast the next day before heading out of town. If I’m ever back in the area I will definitely be stopping here!

best options I’ve ever seen 5 stars

Flavor- creativity- countless options and sweet staff
My family who are not vegan loved their food too

I literally had a dozen entrees and a dozen sweet treats to chose from - all beautiful choices. I wish this was in my hometown.

my favorite place in Norman!

5 stars (the app will not allow more than 4 because they are not full vegetarian) The food is great, the selection is great (on the menu and the small market) and the people working there could not be nicer! Lots of vegan options! Try the vegan cowgirl cookie! Yum!

Bigger space, food still great

I haven't been in Norman since 2011, and The Earth was a tiny tiny shop on the corner of Asp at Campus Corners... difficult to get seating even at "off hours" but now! Not only is it bigger, but the lot (just past the old location) provides parking for any of the businesses in that building and therefore, you have free parking, too! A real bonus in this busy spot of Norman, so close to the OU campus.

I enjoy the robust ingredient offerings, and unlike another reviewer, I do not find the menu to restrictive. Of course, if you are going to compare it to a big city, then sure... but look, we're talking about a small college town (but not a small college!) that is still opening itself little by little, and therefore, I do not compare this to larger cities I've dined in.

I find the offerings well-thought out: it is still catering to a small percentage of people in Norman, which is already saturated with restaurants (and car dealerships!) so they can't possibly maintain quality and freshness with too many selections. Check out their menu online, you will find something to please you.

Their desserts are very delicious and the staff I encountered I found to be friendly, inquisitive without being intrusive, and made me feel at home. (I was dining alone this time.)

Norman used to be a healthy-food wasteland, a vegetarian desert. No more. I am about to write reviews on a few other oases in this growing little veg-friendly core in Norman.

Get yourself to the Earth Café and Deli... you won't regret it.

Pros: Bigger, brighter space, parking, top quality organic ingredients

Cons: Very busy location at Campus Corners

Hi honey! :) We actually eat at The Earth as much as we can and bring our families there when they visit. Their veg only meals are fantastic and are served with friendly service that's prompt. They also have a great little shop where you can pick up everything from spices to commercial meatless products. I highly recommend The Earth Cafe.

Better than only "veg friendly"

We love The Earth and eat here for breakfast and lunch often. It's the only place in Norman that I know for sure that I'm going to get a yummy meal that fits my dietary lifestyle, if somewhat of a caloric splurge, and I don't have to scour the menu too hard or get weird looks in the process. Almost everything on the menu can be ordered to be vegan, and the staff is helpful and educated to guide you in the this decision. All of the deserts are vegan. It's good, comforting veggie diner-style food.

Pros: almost all vegetarian, accepting atmosphere

Cons: lots of processed foods

Yum!!!

This place was awesome! The food was amazing and very appetizing, but more importantly the atmosphere is so relaxed. I suggest to anyone who goes there try their yummy lavender cake. Delicious!

Pros: inventive dishes, environment, eco friendly

Cons: only veg-friendly

Hooray for a this indie veggie cafe/deli

I love supporting this indie veggie friendly cafe/deli. I only wish they'd go strictly veggie/vegan and stop selling meat and fish in the market.
The cafe has yummy tempeh-lettuce-tomato sandwiches and the bbq chik'n salad is delish. They make a yummy vegan pumpkin pie too!
staff is always nice.

Pros: veggie in Oklahoma, healthy cuisine, friendly staff

Cons: sells dead animals & eggs, needs more produce
