Great spot for vegans and non vegans! - Edit
This coffee shop is fantastic, I stopped for breakfast with a group mixed with vegans and non vegans, everyone was able to not only get something but enjoy their meal. I got the treehugger wrap which was fantastic and filling. Not a big coffee drinker but they offer kombucha on tap and matcha along with a ton of other interesting drinks. Only complaint would be the size of the parking lot, be aware of this constraint when going at peak business hours. If your in the area make a point of stoping

Yummy!!! - Edit
Great food for a good price. Loved the cheeseburger in Paradise wrap and the unbelievably delicious special sauce. Also enjoyed the meatball sub. Together it was $16. Lots of vegan options clearly marked. Impossible burger is sold here but they also have tvp burgers. Yummy food, decent portions, I would go again

This small hip coffee shop vibe ...a vegan gem! Lots of vegan sandwiches and grab and go vegan goodies. Vegan bake goods, “just” egg sandwiches, vegan burgers and gluten free options ....soooo good!! This place doesn’t disappoint! Would be a perfect five stars ,. if it were 💯vegan. A good place to bring your non-vegan friends

Changing menu, always delicious - Edit
I love that I can always stop in and find something new on the menu. Their soups are always incredible! Plus, there are a lot of grab and go options and everything is very clearly marked. Such a relaxed atmosphere too.

SWAM BURGER!! - Edit
Very relaxed atmosphere, great food. Serves meat but there are lots of vegan options and multiple non-dairy creamers for coffee. I have driven miles just for the SWAM Burger. Not sure what it is about it, but it’s got that umami flavor that’ll make your mouth water while you’re eating it. My boyfriend and I are obsessed with it. Try it. Trust me!

Great choices - Edit
About 70-80% of the menu is vegan, including most (if not all) of their bakery case, along with sandwiches, beverages and kombucha on tap. And, they have nitro cold brew which is rare to find at local joints!

5 Stars- Best Quick Vegan Food and gluten-free baked goods - Edit
Even though not fully vegan this is my fav spot in ORL for a quick bite. Gourmet soups. I eat here all of the time. Anything I get here will be great. I have never gotten a meal that isn't good. The gourmet soups blow away any other restaurant. The gluten-free desserts are the best in town. The owners are veg so you can trust that the meat does not contaminate the vegan foods and they know what coffee drinks are vegan.

Pros: delicious, Vegan coffee , Fast WiFi
Cons: Not organic (but cheap), Must park on street or church sometimes

Vegan cookies and brownies!! - Edit
Stumbled upon this place by accident while going to a gig across the road at plaza live. Doesn’t look much from outside but they had a wide range of vegan wraps and burgers including chickpea tuna, Tempeh and impossible burgers. Also a good range of brownies, cakes and cookies for really decent prices. I had a vegan s’mores cookie and it was delicious. Also noticed a vegan soup on the menu board.

Vegan cafe options, sweet and savory - Edit
They have a broad variety of tasty vegan cafe treats, including sweet pastries, shortbreads, and savory tofu burritos and breakfast biscuits. Good coffee, nice spot to catch up with a friend for a few hours. Vegan items are clearly marked and staff is happy to help.

Vegan options - Edit
They have both vegan and omni options. This place is a hit or miss for me because they don’t have a set menu. Their options change daily so sometimes I go in looking for something and leave with nothing. I do love their vegan brownies, the BEST I’ve tried so far.

Good Food, Weird Rumors - Edit
I've been to this place many, many times and always enjoy the food. The service is usually pretty good too.
Read moreI know the place has a pretty high turnover rate and I've heard stories about the owner from friends who had terrible experiences with him. Basically a total creep.
Hearing these stories makes me less likely to visit this place when I'm craving a quick bite, especially since so many other places are in the area.
Pros: cheap, quick, tasty
Cons: creepy vibes

Delicious Vegan Options - Edit
This was our first trip to Drunken Monkey. We live in a different town that has nothing to speak of for vegan restaurants. I would give this place 5 stars. The food was delicious with several options for vegans. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Perfect place to meet with friends and share a cruelty free meal. There are non-vegan options as well. A perfect opportunity to bring a non-vegan friend to try some plant based food. We will be back again when we are in Orlando.

Cozy spot with many vegan options! - Edit
As an out-of-towner, let me begin my review by saying how much I wish this place could exist in my town!
Read moreThe first time I was here was in 2015 for breakfast (which was really brunch considering the time). This was when I was vegetarian, not fully having crossed over the like to going fully vegan. "Oh. My. God" (the way Janice says it in FRIENDS). With so many delicious options, how could I not want to go vegan! I remember during my 2015 visit here I also enjoyed how hot drinks are served on real mugs instead of papers cups. There's a comfort feeling about drinking from a mug. You could order the hot chocolate with any of many "milk" options: soy milk, almond milk, hemp milk...
Last week (2017) I happened to wake up in Orlando as a stop on a road trip. When I woke up I didn't even bother to Google for vegan options. My heart was already set on coming back to the Drunken Monkey. When I came back, the place was exactly how I remembered it. Friendly staff, and again with that comforting honey feeling. I can't quite explain the energy there. Maybe it was something to do with their living room decor, or like I said the ceramic mugs, the laid back vibe, but something about that place feels so homey. On my visit there I had the vegan breakfast wrap and a hot mocha. Yummy, yummy!
Next time I'm in Orlando I will definitely be coming back here again.
Pros: Lots of vegan options., Lots of plant based milks.

Good Food, Lots of Vegan Options, Cozy Atmosphere - Edit
Good food, not haute cuisine, but tasty comfort food with lots of vegan, vegetarian, and carnivore options. Mostly cold ready-made deli sandwiches that can be heated in a press, with a few cooked dishes and lots of nice dessert pastries, and a wide selection of hot, cold, and frozen beverages. Small shabby chic dining area is cozy and comfortable. Staff are cheerful and service is quick. Old folks, bring your iPhone or MacBook to fit in with the millennials, or you might find yourself making eye contact and having a meaningful conversation. All joking aside, a very pleasant place to have a good simple affordable meal, especially if you're vegan or vegetarian.

Eclectic little place with lots of options! I had one of the daily specials...a vegan take on chicken and yellow rice. It was just ok, a little too dry for me.

Amazing! - Edit
I'd give this place 5 cows if I could. A plethora of vegan options. Incredible vegan sandwiches, soups, bakery items, espresso drinks (hemp milk option and other non-dairy milks), 3 kinds of non-dairy creamers. This is vegan heaven! Stand up comedy night was so much fun! Free parking in lot on side.

Great vegan options but soups are too salty - Edit
Love the vegan paella, breakfast burritos, ANZAC Cookies and coffee. But soups are very salty. My last three soup orders were too salty. I hope they modify the recipe because they would be delicious for vegans and gluten free diners.

Not sure how I feel about this place - Edit
This is a coffee shop with a ton of food options. It was pretty dark and just seemed dirty to me. The food was all in an old deli case but was labeled clearly, although the signs were faded. They have vegan, vegetarian and meat options. I guess I'm suspicious of small establishments that do so much-they also had gluten free. It just seems it would be difficult to keep everything straight and keep the vegan items fully vegan. For example-regular, vegan and GF brownies that all looked exactly the same.
Read moreIt was also the first time I've ever been seriously stared at while nursing my daughter. One cashier stared for a long time, got another cashier and she stared too. I was in the corner across the room staring back and they didn't seem to care, just kept watching me!
I ended up getting a bottled soda because I wasn't so sure of the food.
Pros: Lots of options, Clearly labeled
Cons: Dirty, Dark

Great food! - Edit
Great food! We were so lucky to find this place on our way through town. The food was really delicious, they had vegetarian and vegan wraps and dinner specials, as well as quiches and other nonveg dishes, and a whole lot of pastries. It looked like there were a lot of gluten-free items, too. The staff were all really nice and the atmosphere was more coffee-shop than restaurant. We liked it so much we went back for dinner, and all of the five or six different dishes we tried were delicious.
