Delicious and well made - Edit
I got my order to go. It would have been nice to stay- it seems like a nice place to hang out with a friend and enjoy a pastry or a meal. I ordered the vegan eggplant pesto panini (it might be called something else). It was very flavorful, balanced moisture, and the eggplant was well cooked. It came with a delightful little cup of curry seasoned potato salad. I don't normally eat potato salad but it was a very nice surprise to enjoy. I also ordered the vegan guava pastry and I almost cried it was so good. The pastry was beautifully crisp and flakey but not burnt. The guava jam was also well flavored and a good amount filled the pastry.

Food is fantastic, the specials are always a delight, and the coffee slaps.
Read moreEverything is clearly labeled as vegan, vegetarian, or meat. They actually label it as meat and don't treat meat like it's the default option.

Shouldn’t be so good but here we are - Edit
Why does this random coffee shop have such good food! Awesome breakfast options, yummy sandwiches, and stupid good soup. Seriously, the soups are absurdly delicious for no reason. I don’t know who that soup lord is but I love them and hope their life is as magical as they are.

Like a home cooked meal - Edit
This place is certainly has a low-key, unique charm to it, slightly tired. I chose it more for coffee as I was running to another vegan restaurant for lunch. Was pleasantly surprised to see so many vegan options and impulsively ordered food. I ordered the tree hugger which was delicious, felt comforting like a home cooked meal. It was pretty large and filling too.
Read moreA great and unique option if you are looking for a quick, vegan breakfast to change up what you may be able to order from other local coffee shops with the delicious but a pretty standard reheated folded justegg, daiya cheese on a bun. I think after breakfast I would opt for a different vegan restaurant. However for an early breakfast, there are not as many options with majority of the vegan restaurants opening after 11 AM.

Local flavor, vegan options - Edit
This is a late review from eating here last month but we have been to Drunken Monkey a few times because my partner (who went from omnivore to Vegan a little over a year ago) LOVES this place, this is my first time eating in and decided it was time to do a review.
Read moreOverall it's got a funky punk/bohemian vibe, it isn't really trying hard to look cute, it's got old mismatched furniture, art & local event announcements up on the walls, music is cool and people-- both customers and staff look pretty cool. I agree with reviews that say staff isn't bubbling over with energy but considering just how busy a spot it is, they are plenty friendly and service is always good.
I ordered a Treehugger breakfast wrap (Tofu Scramble, Bell Peppers, Onions, Spinach, Breakfast “Sausage,” Tomatoes, Tater Tots, Cheese) and it was satisfying, my partner got a Vegan biscuit with Just Egg & Cheese and it's quite small but for the price of $5.10 it seemed about right and he was really happy about it.
Personally if it were up to me, I'd rather go to one of the many fully vegan spots in Orlando but I get why this place is popular with both vegans and flexitarians.

Great vegan and non-vegan options for breakfast and lunch! Vegan breakfast portions are small. If you want more food get a panini. Menu is different than online.

Better Energy? - Edit
The place’s aesthetic is really cool and their food is good but the customer service lacks energy and charisma. What seems to be the owner and wife? are usually carrying long faces too. It just makes you wonder what kind of energy’s being put into the food when making it. Other than that this place is good, usually busy, wide variety of vegan and gluten free options! Chai is homemade and delicious, treehugger is 🤩, soups are delicious, herbivore bagel is a favorite too!

Wish the food was made fresh - Edit
I love the vibe of this place and the coffee is good. But the food doesn’t have any freshness to it, I’m pretty sure everything is pre-made then warmed up when ordered. The menu is easy to order from for vegans. Maybe on my next visit I’ll just get a bagel.

INCREDIBLE - Edit
This place is the most amazing place i think i’ve ever been. I ordered the treehugger wrap (vegan) and it was the most amazing breakfast item and may be even the best thing i’ve ever tasted. Down to the spinach wrap being crispy… just wow. AND comes with a lightly spicey orangey sauce that was a perfect addition. they have so many vegan options and gluten free as well. A vegans breakfast dream. The girls were so sweet and i also ordered a dirty chai, incredible. the chai actually tastes like chai, strong spices and wasn’t watery. 5 stars if i could but they sell non vegan food so the app won’t allow me. MUST COME.

5 star vegan food and coffee - Edit
The Just egg biscuit WOW!!! Food is so delicious and fresh. Coffee is amazing. If you are in Orlando this quirky coffee house is sooooo worth the visit. 15 minutes from I Drive so quicker than battling traffic to a generic place with limited options. An absolute must if you are vegan and like an independent vibe 💚

Disappointed - Edit
The atmosphere was cute but the food was expensive and mediocre.
Read moreWe had a blueberry muffin from the shelf, that was awesome. Highly recommend. That’s why I gave this an extra star.
We then had the gluten-free vegan just egg bagel. It was small with just zero care put into it. Wasn’t good at all. Not to mention that plus a burnt latte was 30$.
The front desk girls were also not very welcoming or helpful. I guess I like that half the menu was vegan but I feel like the competition for vegan food is low in Florida so people can get away with this.
We need to do better.

Great coffee bar with lots of vegan options! - Edit
Drunken Monkey is awesome! I stopped in for breakfast and a coffee while visiting Orlando for the weekend and I'm so glad I did! It has a fun, laidback atmosphere and the staff is really helpful and friendly. They have a ton of vegan options, all of which are very clearly marked on the menu. I will defintely be back next time I'm in Orlando!

consistent deliciousness and abundant variety of Vegan choices, not solely relying on processed options. I still enjoy their Impossible burgers but also housemade soups, chickpea ‘tuna’, potato salad, breakfast wraps and biscuits, plant milks for coffee, and desserts! #Veganuary

Wouldn't go back.. - Edit
I'm definitely not a fussy person, usually very happy with my food and understanding of people in service positions..but our experience at Druken Monkey was fairly disappointing. To start, the individual taking our order was very short and seemed annoyed. I asked to swap my bread out, only to be cut off with a snappy "No. We don't do menu adjustments." I changed my choice, to a meal with the bread that I liked, only to recieve a different bread to what was stated on the menu anyway.. This being said, my vegan tuna "panini" was very tasty.
Read moreMy friend ordered a vegan biscuit which was TINY, dry (possibly freezer burned) and presented poorly.
With so many awesome vegetarian and vegan restaurants with great service and delicious food, I would not bother to return here.

Just OK - Edit
Husband and I both had a vegan biscuit breakfast sandwich. I had the Just Egg and he had the sausage. I was really disappointed in the size, very small! And there were no sides like home fries. My biscuit was burnt on the bottom as well.

so many vegan options! - Edit
i was so overwhelmed with the sheer number of exciting and different vegan sandwich options. from tuna sandwiches to philly cheese steaks, there were so many sandwiches veganized. we got the lox bagel and korea town sandwich (which had tempeh in it) both were fine, but i’m excited to try different ones in the future. the potato salad was SO GAS tho. we got a cappuccino and it was good. there were also so many vegan baked goods options!! the environment is super chill

Service and Food are a toss up - Edit
I’ve had both really good food, drinks, and service here and also really terrible food, drinks, and service here. I think it just depends who you get. When it’s good it’s great but it’s just so expensive that I can’t really justify taking the chance that I’ll get a super mean server that’ll make my food taste sad. You should try it, though. It’s got a sort of northern bakery/deli feel which is nice. I guess the rudeness is authentic to that except instead of old European ladies snapping at you it’s 30something hipster chicks. Anyhow it’s yummy give it a go.

A very special place with delicious vegan food! - Edit
I can't believe I've never visited this place before! I had heard really good things about this place but I didn't know it would be this good, honestly we loved everything. We got the vegan tuna sandwich which was awesome! And that Poblano corn and yuca soup was amazing!! The soup might be my favorite thing. It tasted homemade and fresh, perfect for the cold weather now. My husband ordered the vegan breakfast wrap and that was good too! Nice black rose tea, delicious cookies. There are so many vegan choices and we loved every bite!
