New management - Edit
So this lovely pub that had vegan owners and absolute delicious vegan food has been taken over by vegan-hating people. Don’t bother anymore:(

New owners, no good vegan options - Edit
Was very disappointed to be given a mushroom in a bun and have it called a “vegan burger”. This place had amazing vegan options under previous management but won’t be going back now.

Fantastic menu and quality food - Edit
New owners since we wrote the review and sadly no vegan menu now
Read moreHad a lovely lunch here today and will be a regular for us now. Menu is at least 50% vegan and veg but plenty for those that want meat options as well - great choice for mixed groups and families. Portions were generous, the menu was 'different with Mediterranean inspired options and everything was very high quality and tasty. Very friendly and welcoming staff as well and plenty of I door and outdoor seating. Great value as well.

Amazing service, will tailor make anything - Edit
Owned by a lovely couple who said they would make anything that they have ingredients for. Many vegetarian options on the menu (no vegan but can veganise on request). Good portion, not your typical greasy pub food and side salad was a bonus.

Under new management :( - Edit
Has recently come under new management and was only offering two vegan options on the menu. Asked if there were any options and was told no. Ordered the mushroom and was then told they could do other vegan mains but we said no as we'd already ordered. Food was ok but very small.

Cons: Few vegan options on menu, Confusion about what else could be made vegan.

Me and my boyfriend visited this place on the weekend with our doggie. The staff was very friendly and comforting. When the food came it was very delicious! I had some mushrooms for a starter which were incredible. The main was very good too.

Outstanding Service - Edit
We ate in the Crewe Arms two nights running whilst in the area for the Silverstone Classic Race Meeting.
Read moreExcellent menu, great range of choice but the over riding memory is of the exemplary service. From the very warm welcome on arriving through to the service at table the attitude of all concerned was outstanding, Gail especially is an absolute star. Hugely attentive without being intrusive, old fashioned service and worth a visit for that alone.
Pros: Service, Service, Service
Cons: For us the portion size is on the large side

Good vegan options - Edit
We visited with my omni Dad, veggie Mum and our young son who is vegan. There is a separate vegan menu so there was something for everyone to eat although not much for little people to pick from. The vegan lasagna was very nice, I really enjoyed it. My husband chose the vegan burger however I guess the rolls that day weren't vegan as it came as just the burger with no bread! Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Cosy atmosphere. A bit of a 'locals' bar though. UPDATE - Visited again recently and the menu is much improved and the food was delicious. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff.

The Crewe Arms has an excellent choice of vegan and vegetarian options. It has a separate vegan and veggie menu, and they even have vegan mayo! The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. The vegan burger (complete with vegan cheese) was wonderful. Definitely worth the trip!

Excellent - Edit
It is a gem of a place. It was my mother-in-law’s birthday and she lives going out for lunch but she’s a very traditional “meat and two veg” eater so if she chooses where we go the options for vegans are very limited. Last time she chose I had to have a plate of chips and a side salad. This time I was determined to find somewhere that would make us all happy, and it did. The food was superb and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be going back there.

Vegan food - Edit
The Crewe has amazing vegan food with many choices, including starters, mains and puds! Not you normal menu of stuffed peppers! All chef designed and cooked, nothing from packets. Also cater for veggies and meat eaters. Try the Kabbouleh salad with tofu, delicious!

We regularly go here and will be going more now they have extended their vegan menu. The owners are absolutely lovely and vegan and veggie themselves so can cater really well to both. The pub is so friendly and homely definitely worth visiting.
