Easy vegan ordering - Edit
There were so many more vegan fillings here than I originally thought, and vegan items are mostly labeled. The regular sized burrito was filling and huge, and pretty tasty.

Delicious, fresh tasting - Edit
I didnt get anything too intricate, rice, refried beans, cheese, spinach, extra cheese, buffalo ranch, topped with sour cream and hot sauce. This burrito was delicious, and tasted fresh, perhaps it was the “hint of lime” i asked them to hit my burrito with, but it was fresh tasting and filling, cant ask for much more.

Excellent tempeh burrito - Edit
This places makes great burritos to begin with, but, they can add tempeh to any burrito-but you just have to call 15 minutes before you arrive (or just wait). It’s well worth the extra step/wait as the sauce they cook it in is very tasty. And, they add a sizable amount of tempeh, which can be quite useful if one is starved for protein — as I was — after many meals with non veg options while visiting w family members, while vacationing on the Cape. Because they make such good burritos, often there’s a line. However, don’t fret — it moves fast.

messyness - Edit
I, personally, will not be going back or encoraging any vegan to go after what ive seen after numerous chances i have given this restaurant. The cross contamination on that line grosses me out. Melted cheese in the rice, chicken floating in the beans, sour cream in the guac, not to mention the staff uses the same pair of gloves to handle cheese and meats then touches the fresh veggies and lettuce.
Read moreI felt like my vegan burriro was covered in meat and cheese oils, and there was a string of cheese in my rice. I asked if they cook the eggplant on the same grill as the steak, and unfortunately they do.
Also should be noted that the caramelized onions are not vegan friendly, domino's sugar is one of the ingredients and that's not a vegan friendly sugar. Also the seven grain from Pain D'Avignon contains honey.
Seems like a great spot for vegetarian or meat eaters. Vegans beware.

Call ahead and order tempeh! - Edit
Okay, as a local cape codder, I hope my review here gets more merit to readers than some others on here. Sure, maybe if you are in a city where more places are vegan-friendly, then having to wait 15 minutes for tempeh (or call ahead) is an issue. But seriously, it's really good, and the fact that they even have it as an option is great. A lot of places around here don't even care to have vegan protein as an option. And when I went in today they also had a delicious vegan "cream of mushroom" soup on special. So let's not knock them for providing options that we have to wait a few minutes for. Seriously? As far as cross contamination goes, yes they serve meat and cheese, it is a shared kitchen, so there is always that risk. This is true of any restaurant, they just prepare the food right in front of you here so you can see it rather than it being hidden away in a kitchen. If that bothers you then I guess don't come here but, the food is great, the staff is always friendly, I give it 4 stars. If you are in the area it is a great option for a healthy, filling lunch.

Small correction, they do not prepare the food in front of you, they assemble already prepared foods. The food IS prepared in a kitchen that is "hidden away" as stated. It's a fantastic spot for people who aren't concerned with animal byproducts accidentally ending up in their food.

more options than you think - Edit
I've seen a few reviews complaining about the options here, and while the don't have tempeh, tofu or seitan at the ready, there is plenty to choose from. There is usually at least one type of bean available (including refried), rices, tons of veggies, salsa, etc. They are accommodating if you say you are veg or vegan and do so with a smile on their faces. I like this place a lot and the price is right!

mediocre burritos - Edit
When I arrived I ordered a burrito and asked about the tempeh another reviewer mentioned. I was told by a surprisingly surly teenager that you have to call ahead for it, or wait for 20 minutes to have it cooked. I went on their website before stopping and nowhere was this mentioned, the idea of calling ahead. I skipped it, not wanting to wait and ended up with a bad burrito. I wouldn't ever go there again. There are way better options in Hyannis and p-town for vegan food. This is an only if you're desperate sort of place.

Exceptional! - Edit
The eggplant sandwich can be made vegan and is awesome. My husband got a vegan burrito with tempeh and declared it the best tempeh he had ever had. The employees were really nice, and the food was done quickly. If you want a tempeh burrito and don't want to wait 15 min for your food, call in advance. We didn't, but the wait was not bad at all. They also offer a local brand of nice fruit juice based sodas - we enjoyed the blackberry. Pretty reasonable prices too.

Just be sure to ask for the eggplant on a different bread as pain d'avignon seven grain contains honey and some of the staff might not know
