Very vegan friendly, served great vegan food at our wedding - Edit
Had my wedding here yesterday we had multiple vegan/veggies. Sarah made sure everyone was happy with their food and catered for. They made so many vegan options and also made sure allergies were catered for. They even made sure they had gluten free products for people with allergies too.

Epic fail - Edit
We had been recommended the Circle as we always like new vegan places for us to eat. It's a lovely old church and looks the part. We went on a Saturday and it was packed. Staff were pleasant. We ordered vegan breakfast but the avocado had far too much garlic in it - garlic and avo not a good combo for us. 2 oat milk hot chocolates but it was real milk and a tomato and onion toastie but got real cheese and onion instead. We put it down to them being so busy and Saturday staff. We didn't complain and we will try it again when it's not too busy and hope to get what we ordered! Please train staff in veganism as its upsetting for a vegan to be served non vegan food. (At least it wasn't real meat. That would have been all)

Cons: Staff not trained in veganism.

Was okay - Edit
Tried here with my partner as I had seen they do some veggie options. Beautiful old church, great idea! However the service was a little slow, and upon entering you do feel a bit lost/unsure what to do/where to sit.
Read moreWe ordered veggie breakfast and a pizza at the counter and coffees. The coffees could have been warmer but they were nice. The food however we felt was a let down for such a wait, the pizza especially. Not rustic in the slightest, base was more like a premade one? The breakfast was alright, not exactly piping hot and the avocado guac was not to my liking. I personally wouldn't go again for the price and service. Wasn't asked if we enjoyed it by the staff.
Pros: The coffee was nice, The building
Cons: The food, The service

Very poor food and service - Edit
I was really gutted to have such a poor experience at The Circle. I’ve heard lots of positive comments about the place but ended up really disappointed.
Read moreFirst impressions weren’t great; you enter the building via what I can only describe as a general dumping ground with a number of outside toilets that were out of order. The building inside is striking though, and done right could be a beautiful setting… but to be honest, it all looked a bit like they’d borrowed a load of velvet backed chairs and folding tables from the scout hut down the road.
There were plenty of staff on hand. Loads of vegan options. You order at the bar and they bring your food over. Eventually…. If you’re lucky. There were other customers who were clearly unhappy too. After a wait of 45 minutes (we’d waited 15 for the drinks) we went to ask if we’d been forgotten. We were told that there was only one guy in the kitchen and that there was a wait of an hour for food. Had we been told there was such a long wait when we ordered, we would have gone elsewhere. Anyone with young children knows how tricky it is to keep them entertained while waiting for food, and it was frustrating to find out staff all knew of the significant delays but hadn’t thought to let anyone else know.
When the food arrived, it was mediocre at best. My vegan breakfast was missing the scrambled tofu, and had been blessed by a disappointing three halves of mushrooms (that’s one and a half small mushrooms halved,). The half an avocado was actually in the form of a small pot of guacamole. Nobody came to check if everything was ok, but some plates were removed before we’d all finished.
I’ve got no idea whether they were just totally overwhelmed and out of their depth, or whether that’s a standard day for them. I can’t say the food made up for the terrible service, and I’d be very reluctant to give them a second chance.
Pros: Some vegan choices
Cons: Poor service , Poor toilet facilities , Long wait for food
