Vegan Chopped Cheese Sandwich at The Bodega

Great little multi-business spot in the design district with snacks, a coffee bar, an açaí bowl place and the hot food as well.

There are vegan 🌱 options in most categories on the menu, a cheese or veggie pizza, a burrito, etc.

This was only my 2nd chopped cheese ever, with the first being at Shoals Sound & Service (RIP) last May and I was sad to have missed them by a week on this trip. But back to THIS vegan chopped cheese, it was delicious!!

So melty and flavorful. I can’t vouch for whether it’s authentic to a NY bodega, but it tasted so good. The fries were peppery and crisp. Staff member was SUPER nice as well!

Also had an açaí bowl at Bowldega and it was rad, too. They don’t blend fresh, but have premade bases that they scoop out. You can choose several flavors and all the toppings you want for a great price.
