Wow, that's a Sunday roast - Edit
An oasis of vegan food in Wellington! Went for the Sunday roast which was one of the best I've had anywhere. Yorkshires, horseradish sauce and decent gravy. So tempted by the puds, but honestly couldn't fit it in. Staff super friendly as well. Couldn't recommend more.

What a lovely pub with incredible food! - Edit
The staff here are absolutely brilliant, as are the locals. We met friends here as it’s halfway for both of us and we had such a lovely time. The pub had a really welcoming vibe from the moment we walked in with big smiles. Ended up playing pool with the locals.
Read moreAs for the food, it’s honestly the best vegan roast I’ve had and I’ve had roasts at dedicated vegan restaurants before. It had all the trimmings including Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese, etc. they even went to the effort to include chestnuts in the sprouts and gave us vegan gravy and cranberry sauce. The portions were also very generous and we left stuffed.
My wife had a dessert which was huge! Highly recommend the desserts as they have plenty of vegan options!

Incredible Sunday roast - Edit
Best Sunday roast I’ve had from a restaurant, definitely will be visiting again, I Would give five stars but apparently the app won’t let you, but it’s a five star meal and the Yorkshire puddings were perfection! A must try for anyone looking for a decent vegan roast! And the staff were also lovely and welcoming, food came out fast and perfectly warm and a great helping, couldn’t finish it all if we tried ❤️

Unfortunately only able to give 4 stars as it’s not a fully vegan resultant. We went for Sunday dinner, separate vegan menu with starters, mains and puddings. The roast was wonderful! Even vegan Yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese

Great vegan roast - Edit
This pub has been a family favourite for a few years - best Sunday roast in the area! After recently going vegan I was pleased & slightly apprehensive to find out that they also offer a vegan roast.

Exceptional vegan options, well worth a visit! - Edit
It's hard to get vegan options in the countryside in Devon. Most places rarely provide one option. I don't normally rate places with options but this I would absolutely recommend. The chef and staff seemed very keen on supporting vegans. They kept coming back and talking to me about the food and how to improve it. They have a few options on the menu and a vegan option for Sunday, including yorkshire puddings and gravy. I was so impressed I'll be sure to go back and would highly recommend them to vegans. One of best around! Unfortunately they're not open in the week, only Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for food.
