Serves meat, vegan options available. English pub in the quaint village of Stanstead in the Kentish countryside. Has vegan dishes at the restaurant and bar (which has limited tables and is dog friendly in bar). Includes soup of the day, vegan lasagne al forno, vegan meatball marina sandwich and desserts such as a lemon tart, ice cream and sorbet. The Sunday menu includes a vegan chicken roast with all the trimmings and a vegan burger and chips. Open Mon 15:00-20:00, Tue-Sun 12:00-23:00.

Lovely traditional English pub in small Kentish village

There's a suprisingly good amount of vegan options, though on a Sunday they have a limited menu with just vegan chicken roast or Black Horse vegan burger with chips. We opted for the vegan chicken roast.

The roast wasn't the best I have had, but not the worst either gravy was quite lumpy but the veg was cooked nicely and the larger faux chicken breast was really tasty. Polite service and we ate in the dog friendly bar area with a pre reserved table as there is limited tables where its dog friendly.

The restaurant has outdoor seating too both infront and at the back, the back also has quite a large garden with childrens climbing frame and football nets so a good spot for all the family.

My mum is disabled and struggled slightly to get into the building as there is step at the front door, but once inside the ground floor inertior is flat and toilets were accessible for her.

Pros: Quaint traditional English countryside pub, Outside seating and childrens play area, Good choice for vegans (except Sundays)
