Disappointing and lacking of vegan options - Edit
Even though we visited the Bitter Alibi during Chattanooga’s Vegan Chef Challenge (July 2024), the vegan options were lacking. They had two vegan options on the menu: a vegan ramen (which seemed like a July special for the vegan challenge) and dumplings. Other options had to have elements removed in order to be vegan. Unfortunately, it seems like they have removed some vegan options after other people had written reviews on here.
Read moreThe vegan options they had were disappointing. The vegan ramen basically tasted of nothing but a hint of spice and really just consisted of 90% ramen noodles and nothing else. My husband and I got approximately 4 slices of mushroom and a few pieces of carrot in our ramen. The dumplings were no different, and my husband had two dumplings that had close to no filling at all in them.
The food menu is quite small, but that’s probably because they mainly function as a bar. However, with such a small menu I would expect higher standards of the few dishes they serve.
Pros: Cool vibe
Cons: Lacking of vegan options, Flavorless

Fun atmosphere, sweet staff, flavorful food - Edit
They had some good vegan options on the menu -- A new menu had just come out a few days before I got here. The starters are quite small (a good portion, not standard American portions). I got the vegan tacos and they were super spicy! Not really what I was looking for, but I dipped fries in the extra spicy sauce so problem solved! The starter vegan dumplings have a little too little filling, but otherwise they're great. The staff are incredibly sweet and honest. I went on Emo Night (Mondays) and it was very fun

Good food, great atmosphere, tasty beer - Edit
The ramen is great. The dumplings are nice. They seem to have stopped selling vegan burgers, though? Not a ton of options, but the ones they have are tasty and it's a friendly place to have a drink and a meal.

Nice vegan options - Edit
I enjoyed the vegan dumplings and the vegan Raman. Both were good and satisfying. I appreciated the marked vegan items on the menu, although there is a limited selection.

Really yummy! - Edit
We stumbled on this place accidentally last night, and we're so glad we did! Lots of labeled vegan options. Really delicious. We got the vegan dumplings and wonton nachos without queso or Sriracha mayo, and replaced it with vegan ranch and Sriracha on the side. Definitely recommend this place! It's definitely a hole in the wall bar vibe, so if you're looking for a more traditional restaurant vibe, be aware.

Delicious!! - Edit
The vegan dumplings are delicious. The fries are very good. They have a vegan ramen, vegan tacos, and vegan burger. The tacos and dumplings are made with a ginger soy impossible burger meat. Delicious! The boom box sauce has a slow warmth. The vegan ranch is rich and creamy.
