Not open to public - Edit
We tried to go and it is not open to the public because of covid. The restaurant is only open to hospital patients and guests 😔. There is no exemption for vaccinated status.

The Bistro at Castle Medical Center - Kailua - Edit
The Bistro located in Castle Medical Center is an all vegetarian cafeteria. Great to have a hospital offering plant-based meals to their patients, staff, and visitors. I appreciated that they use biodegradable silverware and reusable water cups.

Now known as "The Bistro" - Edit
This restaurant recently changed its name to "The Bistro" but remains completely vegetarian. Although catering mainly to hospital staff, it is fully open to the public. Excellent salad/fruit bar and hot buffet, with a different main dish every day. They always offer at least one entree that is strictly vegan. If using public transport from Honolulu, bus 56 or 57 from Ala Moana Center will take you directly past the Castle Medical Center in Kailua.
