Great community cafe

We wouldn't usually eat in a place that isn't fully veg, however when the ethos is pay-as-you-can to save food from going to waste we made an exception. There are also very few veg options in the area too, so it's a real gem for the small viallage of Chopwell to have a vibrant community cafe.

The menu has vegan options, including a hot meal, soup and sandwiches, some of which are also gluten free. The menu changes depending on what food has been donated.

The cakes and sweet treats always look delicious, it's just a shame that none of them are vegan.

It's simple, nourishing food that's also benefitting the local community.
