A few Vegan 💚 options - Edit
Good to find some Vegan options in town that are not pasties, ice cream, cakes or flapjacks! Although they’re ok, just needed something different.
Read moreNot a huge choice but we ordered the pea & spinach burger with fries and coleslaw.
Well presented and tasted really good.
Friendly staff and seating outside on the raised deck to catch the sun.
A few options for desert as well.
Wish I had taken a photo now but will add one next time. A few more options would make it a better place to return to.

Characterful pub with vegan options - Edit
It’s a really nice maritime themed pub, the person serving was extremely helpful. Dogs welcome and plenty of space. Vegan pan-fried lobster with sweet potato salad was one of the options and it was delicious. Also has vegan BLT. Recommend

Excellent To-fish & chips - Edit
We went there especially for the To-fish & chips and it was worth it! We were presented with a very generous plate of delicious food. Highly recommended. Nice friendly atmosphere in the pub too.

Excellent imaginative vegan food - Edit
We ate at the bath house hotel which is joined to the ancient mariner and owned by the same family. Three choices of starter, mains and deserts. Plus vegan cheese board. All interesting not standard vegan options. Can't fault it.

Read moreGood selection of vegan options, not just your standard 'falafel and a burger'. The tofish and mariners mushrooms were tasty, cooked well and a good portion size. Only slight oversight was the cows butter packets served with the mushrooms. Well worth a visit.
Pros: Good variety of vegan options
Cons: A little pricey (but not ridiculous)

good food and friendly staff - Edit
Went on a Saturday around lunchtime, there were signs saying that you might need to reserve a table for evening meals as the place isn’t massive. We sat inside, but there’s also outside tables with a nice atmosphere. Ordered the tofish & chips, it was a large portion and very nice. Would recommend.
