Serves meat, vegan options available. Thai restaurant with a separate vegan menu. Open Mon-Thu 11:00am-9:30pm, Fri-Sat 11:00am-10:00pm, Sun 11:00am-9:30pm.
My daughter fell in love with the deep fried tofu appetizer. The fresh rolls are also very good. They told us just about anything on the menu could be made vegan, and the waiter made sure to say things like “and no fish sauce, right?” when we ordered things like pad see ew. I didn’t notice the comment below until I came on to write the review, so I didn’t ask about the curry paste situation. If you are concerned, skip the curry!
They use a curry paste in their curries which all contain shrimp but they tell people it doesn't, they also use egg to close the spring rolls so they aren't vegan.
I just called + asked if their curry paste contains shrimp + they said no. Shellfish allergies can be deadly, so I trust they were being honest. Where'd you get this info?
I got spring rolls and black rice pudding. The spring rolls are ok but different from advertised. The filling is mainly rice noodles, not veggies. The pudding is so sweet that I have to add half a bowl of water to dilute it. It’s also expensive. Would not go back again.
I loved this place growing up! Haven’t been in a while, since I went vegan. The vegan options were delicious. The tofu had great texture. You can choose if you want it fried crispy or not.
Have eaten at Thai Ginger several times now, once at this location recently, and the place is just okay. This one in Redmond was the worst of the chains we’ve eaten at: rice old and hard, not great service and low quality food. Won’t be returning to any of the Thai Gingers anymore.
Love love love the new vegan menu. They are so fast here my boyfriend and I have eaten here twice in under 20 minutes before going to see a movie! The vegan menu is great and has some great dishes on it.
I had the fresh spring rolls with tofu which were really good. I have tried 2 main dishes here. Yellow curry with tofu and pad thai with tofu. I did not particularly like the pad thai but the curry was quite good and I would order that again. Staff is helpful with picking vegan options and understand the vegan definition and requirements so ordering was an easy experience.
