Just take it easy. Jamaican and vegan plate recommended. Okonomeyaki good to share but I wouldn't take it for one person only. Everything tasty anyways

An unexpectedly fantastic fusion - Edit
I used to live in Japan and don't think I've ever encountered this kind of fusion cuisine. The okonomiyaki was amazing, which I haven't been able to have otherwise since becoming vegan. The yakisoba was good with a little bit of a curry flavour which added another layer of yumminess. As someone said to us when they were leaving the restaurant, "It's worth the wait!"

Interesting - Edit
Good food. We had the Jamaican plate which was filling and the okonomiyaki was tasty but a bit overpriced. I also got a coconut milkshake which was more like a yogurt dessert but tasty.

great food, but no ventilation - Edit
Small restaurant with about 6 high tables inside and a couple outside. The menu is great: varied, good prices. I had the Okonomiyaki (a kind of Japanese cabbage pancake) and it tasted really good. It was also served quickly by someone who (also) spoke Dutch, which has become rare in Amsterdam.
Read moreHowever, there seemed to be no ventilation at all. Although the front door was open, the whole restaurant smelled of kitchen and when I came home, I had to put all my clothes in the laundry due to the heavy smell.
So: great address, but be sure to have some spare clothes left for the next day.
Pros: great food, varied menu, served quickly
Cons: no ventilation, high tables, some bar stools had no backrests

was pleasant at first but went downhill very quickly - Edit
Went to this place in January this year as the sound of Jamaican/Asian fusion food sounded amazing. Initial experience was really pleasant. The waiter was very accommodating and made me feel at home. I ordered some vegan sides and the chicken wrap was okay.
Read moreI then ordered the strawberry cheesecake which then escalated downhill very quickly. I took a bite of the cake and realised it had nuts in it. I have a slight allergy to nuts so i stopped eating. I told the waiter and was immediately told i would still need to pay for it without him even asking me if i was okay. I then had another male waiter (young asian) explain to me that because it’s already been dished out I have to pay. I then said that because it does not specify on the menu there is nuts, this could very harmful for potential customers. How was I supposed to know the deserts included nuts???? He said well you haven’t fainted yet or got any symptoms, which was just out of order. He then proceeded to laugh and make me even more uncomfortable especially as i was by myself. I said he had no right to question me and he could of at least provided more options of what could be done to rectify it - as that’s what you call good customer service, but this young waiter has no idea how to provide good service and felt the need to be extremely rude instead.
I was looking forward to supporting a local business but definitely won’t be seeing me again.
Pros: various vegan options , nice atmosphere
Cons: extremely rude member of staff , plates and cutlery still look dirty
