It's quite a quirky, krusty looking place with unusual paintings on the walls and lighting held in place with packaging tape. But don't let that put you off! The food here is really good and priced really fairly for the portion sizes.
Read moreThe fried plantain and spicy sweet chilli sauce was incredible. I don't think we ordered the right main. We got the most expensive main on the menu I think called the vegan lust? It had loads of deep fried stuff. We thought it would be massive given the €22 price tag but actually it wasn't enough for two people. Really wish I'd just ordered a donburi or the curry as our dish didn't look as good as everyone else's in the restaurant.
Also I know it's a small thing but I didn't think the selection of drinks was very good. We really wanted the kombucha on the menu but they didn't have any and then the other options were just cans. Would love some fresh juices made on-site.

I read through the menu and named about 10 things I wanted before finally deciding on the Karage donburi. It contained, brown rice, salad and vegan chicken. The chicken had a really nice sauce and even the brown rice had flavour. I liked the salad served with it too. My partner had the fried rice. I tasted it and the flavour was great as what the variety of vegetables. Really nice cafe and service.

Read moreWhen we were there the restaurant was full, but a table got fast free. The personal is very nice. I have tried the vegan sushi, which was amazingly tasty and my sister got the Jamaican plate which it consists in curry, rice, salad and fried banana 🍌. This was also very good!
The restaurant inside is not very big but it is like entering in another dimension in some place in Latin America as the walls are filled by hand made paintings.

Read moreIt was a surprising Fusion of jamaicain Curry and also some japanese dishes. The „meat“ and „chicken“ was Crazy Good and you ll Never Miss Any animal products in this Restaurant.
The Service was also friendly.
The Location is a mix of creativity, no Luxus and expression of free Spirit.
After First Taste Here we came around 3 times in our 4 days stay in Amsterdam. 🫶

Read moreI love the Jamaican-Japanese fusion food at this place. There's nowhere else in the city where you can get both sushi as well as a Jamaican curry! Everything is very tasty and filling, and the family who own it are super friendly.
The only thing is that the bathroom isn't very clean.
