OMG the food is UNREAL! - Edit
I wish I lived closer so I could get all my non vegan friends to try!! Plenty of options for junk food.. the spicy wings were my favourite, my mouth was on fire but I couldn’t stop eating them even after I’d demolished my burger and fries! Can’t wait to have this again some day.

Best non-chicken - Edit
Had heard loads of great reviews, finally made it myself for a brief stop. Would love to have stayed as the atmosphere is great- kitchen is open plan, staff are clearly enjoying what they do, & the place is super clean. As it was I was in a rush to catch the train so got 4 hot wings & sauce to take away. Quick & friendly service, AMAZING food (best vegan fast food I’ve had in the UK, along with Vegan Vice) & obviously eco packaging. Only 1 tiny complaint- no napkin. Things got pretty messy.
Read morePros: Perfect fake chicken fast food, Great service , Open plan kitchen, lots of seating, in & outside

Does the trick - Edit
I really like how they've assembled the burgers and the sides are great, would have given 5 stars but the seitan is a little too dense for my liking. The canal side location is nice.

Massive let down. Thin bad chicken - Edit
I will preface this review by stating I had eaten at the original Hackney branch not long after it opened and was blown away by the burgers and mac N cheese in all aspects, price, size and taste. This was the case so much that both my partner and I spent the next 2 years whilst living abroad dreaming about having another.
Read moreWe decided to give the Camden branch a try as we were in the area. Upon ordering the chicken burgers everything seemed great, staff friendly, quick order turn around and managed to get a seat.
We then recieved the order and this is when it really was a let down, the chicken patties were so thin throughout they were practically non existent! They were reasonably thick on a small edge that hung out the burger and petered out into literally a rubbery couple millimetre thick but of chickn. Both mine and my partners was the same. The bread was not particularly fresh and the mac lacked the flavour it had at the hackney branch.
We tried once more a few weeks later and elected for something else this time, the chicken and chips box. The portions were far better but still lacked the flavour it once did and certainly not worth the money.
All in all a good chunk of money wasted across 4 meals.
Pros: Friendly staff, Reasonable service time
Cons: Very thin burgers, Bland

Worth it! - Edit
Despite the long line and limited seating, it's a 100% worth it. Our favorites were the classic fried chicken sandwich and mac and cheese. Wish we had room to try the desserts!

Really good food. Had a burger and some ‘chicken’ strips with chips.

I left my food (this never happens) - Edit
I’m really disappointed. I had the cheeseburger which was burnt and the burger didn’t taste good at all, at first I didn’t realise because it was covered in sauce. I’m giving it two stars because the Vego milkshake was super nice although it didn’t taste much of vego but was thick and creamy.
Read moreMaybe I should’ve tried the chicken as it’s a chicken place so I’ll try that next time and hopefully will be able to give a better review!
Pros: Staff were friendly , Milkshake was good, Right by the water
Cons: Burnt food, Burger didn’t taste like a burger , Tables weren’t clean

Tasty For One Visit - Edit
My burger was delicious and definitely worth trying. The service was a little cold and that’s the vibe I got from the entire experience. The branding is cool but it just didn’t feel welcoming. The BBQ wings were tasty to begin with but they got sickly really quickly (for me personally not because of the bbq sauce but I think the seitan). I couldn’t finish them but I think they would be fine to share between 3 of you.

Bad day or has the standard slipped? - Edit
Service wasn’t as good as it’s been in the past and the food quality was lacking. For the price we paid it is just very disappointing. Really need to sort out the seating situation too as it was pouring of rain 😕 Having been to Oowee in Bristol, Temple need to up the game!

Temple of Seitan (Camden) - Edit
Vegan comfort/junk food about sums it up here. They serve various seitan and chicken style burgers along with various sides such as vegan mac 'n' cheese.
Read moreI ordered the "Temple Deluxe" comprised of a 1/4 pound patty, burger sauce, cheese, bacon, lettuce, and pickles. I think most vegans would really love this burger but I thought it was OK, this is because I'm spoiled living near the best vegan junk food place on Earth (The Butcher's Son in Berkeley, CA). I also ordered the vegan mac 'n' cheese because some other reviews said this was the best on Earth. It was good, but there is another place in London that does vegan mac better. This mac was very thick and seemed to need more flavor. Overall though, I think this is a good concept with good food and reasonable prices. I'll go back when I want to be a "bad vegan".
PS- It would be really funny if they renamed their "Temple Spicy" to "Temple 666"...you know, just because they named their restaurant Temple of Seitan.

I don’t understand the hype - Edit
Was kind of disappointed. The chicken pieces looked instagram worthy, but it tasted quite average. I really liked the texture of the seitan and the breading. However, when they serve the sauce over the wings it just gets soggy (as in the buffalo wings). I didn’t enjoy the buffalo sauce at all, it lacked depth, it stayed on this metallic flavor profile. And the mac and cheese were really dry. Hm, wouldn’t recommend. But the store looks cool.
