Korean
Serves all-vegan Korean temple food which varies each day, but consists of a tray of slightly different side dishes with rice and soup. Fridays they always serve bibimbap. You can choose to get the special which includes two dishes (usually some Japchae and salad or fried mushrooms, etc.). The special is only for two or more people. The building is hidden on the side road - entrance is right beside the restaurant Ilsang, down the stairs to the right. Reported closed June 2023.

Temple food - simple or extravagant - Edit
Such a lovely temple food restaurant run by a Buddhist nun!
Read moreThere is a simple lunch menu (8000KRW), which can be upgraded with the daily special (11.000 KRW). Even for the basic lunch set, you will get 8 side dishes, plus a bowl of rice and soup each - filling, healthy, tasty and so affordable!
Apart from that, you can order more extravagant dinner courses, if you call at least a day in advance. Prices begin at 30.000 per person (Course A), while Course C costs 70.000 per person and features an extraordinary Gujeolpan served on a lotus flower (연꽃구절판). However, full course menus are available only for more than 3 people. ⚠️ If you get a course menu, they may use honey in one of the dishes as a dip / topping. If you tell them in advance that you don't want honey, then they won't serve it with honey.
Food is prepared without the Five Pungent Vegetables (오신채), yet the taste of the plant-based dishes is quite flavorful and refined.
The daily special as well as the side dishes change regularly. They aim to use seasonal and local ingredients.
The restaurant is located in the basement floor of a building, there is a staircase leading to the restaurant. It is a spacious location, which has no windows but is bright nevertheless.

Great food, nice staff, DEF worth the price - Edit
I found this place by accident and since then I visit here at least once a week. The side dishes change each time so you always get a good diversity of local cuisine.
Read moreThe Special includes Japchae which are really good and usually something fresh like salad. For 10,000KRW you can’t go wrong.
The owner is very friendly, but I’m not sure if they speak any English or not. Either way, there is not much to discuss since everyone gets the same menu anyway. If you want the special just say “special” and they’ll understand.
The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. They play a very eclectic array of background music, which I appreciate, but it’s pretty quiet and calm anyway.
Pros: Great quality and amount for the price, Nice staff , Clean and modern
Cons: A little hard to find, Not wheelchair accessible , No takeout

Hi , can I check if the opening hours stated here is accurate? Only 11.30-14.30? And is bibimbap only on Friday?
