Ordered mushroom grilled cheese and masala grilled cheese. Both were quite greasy. Mushroom grilled cheese was better. Masala was a bit too mushy for my taste but the green chutney sauce on the side was good.
Price: Alright. I don't appreciate when they charge extra for oat milk for coffee.

They had a few vegan options on the menu but the one I ordered wasn’t available. The owner went out of his way to make me an alternative vegan dish and it was delicious. Big portions, lovely food. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

They have a limited menu of items done well. Mainly vegetarian or vegan. The vegan breakfast is good, generous portions with the all-time important quality sausage. The coffee and chai latte were excellent, and there's a selection of vegan cakes. Surroundings and atmosphere are laid back, and the service polite and friendly. Centrally located.

Amazing food shocking WiFi - Edit
Pretty much every meal from the menu can be made vegan. I went to work from there in the morning and although the food and chai latte were amazing, I ended up hot spotting from my phone because the wifi didn’t reach the 1st floor. Would come again but more for a social purpose rather than work.

The falafel was warm, the houmous was creamy - what more could you want??

Food was really nice. Plenty of seating upstairs. Avocado toast was lovely, but huge portions- 1 would have been enough to split between 2. My husband had a vegan breakfast bun which he really enjoyed. Will be back:)

Lovely food, mostly vegan but with the option of dairy milk/cheese. So nice to have something healthier to choose from. Great salads and sourdough flatbreads. The best hummus I have ever been eaten in my life!

The menu is very much improved since my last visit. The whole menu is vegan or can be vegan. We had the full v.breakfast which is served all day and very good. Nice 'outdoor' seating area in the covered arcade and an upstairs lounge area which we didnt check out. Highly recommend this place.

Read moreWhen I went in it was clear that they were having a busy day. The staff were very friendly and made it clear there would be a little wait on some food, and informed me what food was sold out - This I found very polite and helpful.
The choice of teas and coffees really blew me away (I wish I took a picture of the massive choice available). I got a reliable oat milk cappuccino, which was really nice, but nothing to write home about.
For food I ordered the BBQ Flatbread. The wait wasn't too extensive compared to the warning I was given, and when the food did arrive I was very pleased with what I ordered. It was a lovely take on a BBQ dish (which I also wish I snapped a picture of).
What pleased me most was the price of things: nothing appeared to be overpriced, and my meal & coffee were definitely good value. I wouldn't want to of paid any more or less for it.
I had stumbled across this business while looking for another vegan businesses called Ve.GANG - Only to find this no longer existed, but that it had combined with Temperance (according to a glance at their social media). While eating, I did overhear that there was very little vegan choice when it came to cakes (one if I remember correctly). I personally feel this, while there's not only one vegan choice, is also reflected in the hot food menu. I feel like this place needs a massive push in the vegan direction.

Often when I visit Halifax I've missed this street food stall in the Borough Market. Had an excellent Mexican Flatbread, lovely and warming on this cold early December day. Very nice atmosphere with the excellent benefit of vegan sandwich & soup.

A friendly, modern cafe serving veggie and vegan delights! - Edit
There are vegan options a-plenty at this modern veggie café in the centre of Halifax. Prepared in an open kitchen, you can try dishes such as garlic forest mushrooms on rye, hummus superfood bowls and aubergine and romesco bagels. There was one vegan dessert option, which was a delicious granola cookie, sometimes they have vegan doughnuts and cruffins too, if you're lucky! Heaps of milk options, including Oatly and ethically-sourced coffees. Customer service is exceptional, staff know lots of their customers by name and could not be friendlier. They even gave me a complimentary tumeric latte to try. When can I go back?!

Delicious vegan food cooked fresh for a reasonable price. Technically takeaway food but there are tables and chairs within the Albany Arcade right in front so eating in is an option. Cant wait to go back and try some other dishes!
