Eso que comenta no es cierto, en la fecha que visitó nuestro restaurante, el menú del día que ofrecemos, incluye 2 platos, primero y principal más una bebida y su precio es de 12€. En esa fecha, además, teníamos y tenemos un menú solidario al cual cualquier persona que lo necesite puede acceder y comer sin pagar, entendiendo que es la forma que podemos aportar nuestro granito de arena ante la dificultad que muchas personas están viviendo por la pandemia. Es una lastima que después de el esfuerzo que estamos haciendo para mantener el local abierto, en medio de asadores, apostando por una comida natural y casera vegana con producto de proximidad e ingredientes naturales de primera calidad, haya personas como ustedes, que se dediquen a difamar escondidos detrás de una reseña que es lo fácil. Si hubiera habido algún error en su nota, podía haberlo dicho en el establecimiento antes de irse y se hubiera subsanado con la honestidad con la que mantenemos abierto el negocio del que viven tres familias. Decoración yogui/hippie más que una opinión es un juicio, una etiqueta que no corresponde en absoluto con el propósito de Telos y que no nos define ni como establecimiento ni como personas

The ingredients used in our dishes, such as extra virgin olive oil, are top quality. We regret that it seems expensive a daily menu for 12 euros between daily and 15 euros on weekends in a tourist place and surrounded by grills, with the difficulty it offers. We also offer à la carte service and tasting menus expanding the offer so that you can choose to your liking. Our chef's knowledge guarantees the 4 years that we have been in charge of this project. If our kitchen is not to your liking, you always have the option of going to another restaurant more appropriate for you.

I am very sorry for this review but I did not enjoyed my dinner at Telos Cafe. We had a dinner for two which was extremely expensive (50€ for 2 persons), which consisted of four shared plates and dessert, withvery expensive lemonade (8€ for 1L of water with lemon???). The dishes were very bland, with almost no elaboration and lacking the flavour. What I really enjoyed were Telos potatoes, they were filling and okay (but still they were potatoes, nothing complicated). On the other side: the salad was dry, the spreads seemed straight from the store and the mushrooms were very acidic (vinegar like), not sure if were fresh and the quinoa was dry and cooked. It is such a pity that only one plate was really good. However I must say that the dessert was tasty and saved the rating of the meal.

The tasting menu is five dishes plus dessert and costs € 18 per person. The mushrooms are served with kombucha vinegar, all our products are fresh and of the highest quality. Even so, we are very sorry for your disenchantment and hard review. Merry Christmas.

We went Sunday afternoon, so was very busy and we had to wait quite a while between tapas. Overall, the food was great and the atmosphere and customer service was very friendly.

La comida está deliciosa y con una presentación muy bonita. Tiene varios menús incluyendo degustación en la que pruebas un poquito de todo, y a parte, la carta con muchas opciones. La terraza es muy acogedora, y el personal encantador y detallista. No es nada caro y es perfecto para comer o tomar algo.

Fantastic little restaurant with many home-made options to choose from as a Vegetarian or Vegan. Meat-eaters have great dishes too as the plant-based alternatives are delicious! Highly recommendable!!

Zeer goed en gezond eten van't huis. Eindelijk! Met een groot terras. En goede wijnkeuze. Voor slechts 12 euro heb je er goed gegeten. Interessante boeken om te lezen en rustige muziek, ideaal om te werken/studeren. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, doorgaans open.

very nice, quaint cafe - Edit
I visited his place recently and thought the food was phenomenal! The owner is also very nice and speaks decent English. I had mushrooms with wine, fresh baked bread, a lentil burger, some potatoes and some vegan chocolate cake. Definitely go check it out if you are visiting El Escorial.

Un lugar inesperado - Edit
A menos de 5 minutos del monasterio caminando. Aunque por fuera apenas se ve, el sitio por dentro sorprende. Salon interior y terraza trasera con encanto y alejada de ruidos. Pedimos los menus por 12 euros que te sacian completamente. Hay opciones veganas, vegetarianas, sin gluten... Me gusto mucho la tortilla vegana y las salsas de las papas arrugas. Todas las opciones diferenciadas y bien explicadas por los dueños. Trato familiar y buena seleccion de tes e infusiones. Volveremos cada vez que vayamos a hacer una visita por alla.

Our meals were so-so, but we were happy to find vegetarian/vegan after visiting the monastery & before taking train back to Madrid. The atmosphere was friendly and clean.
