Confusing - Edit
We walked from the centre to try and have lunch here, but couldn’t find the restaurant. The closest building to the Google Maps pin was a completely nondescript (yet busy) place with people who appeared to be smoking at the front, and no visible signage. In hindsight I think that must’ve been it, it just didn’t look how I expected. We obviously should’ve just gone inside to check, but I felt like everyone was staring at me lingering around the building and the social anxiety took over 😂 So we gave up and walked back.
Read moreWe noticed on our walk that Teco had a market stall as well, there was a Sunday market on near Zrinjevac Park. So we decided to give that a try on the way back, but it too was slightly disappointing. They had a big sign saying “vegan” so we were hopeful. They were selling some salad roll/ burger things that we were keen for, but when I asked if any were vegan the lady said yes, but went on to say they all had salmon or something, so actually they weren’t. She also pointed out their jars of fancy hummus, at around 8km each. In the end we just got a slice of berry tart, which was really nice. Just not the lunch we were after - ended up at Food House instead.
Pros: nice vegan tart
Cons: confusing restaurant location, no signage, market stall staff didn’t understand vegan

Nice place - Edit
I really liked the atmosphere of the place even though it is a bit far out. The vegan burger with a beetroot patty (?) was good but with a bit of a mustard overload. In the end, all I could taste was mustard.

great place in Mostar - Edit
There are not that many places in Mostar for vegans to eat so Teco is a perfect choise. A bit of walk from the centre, but for that reason prices are lower and not touristy. We had veggie burger and staff asked us if we want it vegan and great smoothie.

Pros: cheap, not touristy, nice bar/restaurant, friendly English speaking staff

Best vegan place in eastern europe!! - Edit
Ahhhhh we rave about Teco to everyone !!! The smoothies are all natural ingredients like spirulina, agave syrup, fruits and vegetables, the veggie burger is the best ive ever had. Its a little walk from stari most but it gets you out of the gross tourist areas.

Points for effort - Edit
Food is nothing special but nice with a place in Mostar that caters to vegans. Have soy milk for coffee and the strawberry cake was really good. Good WiFi. Many vegan options were not available at our visit.
Read morePros: Vegan cakes, Good for Bosnian standards of vegan food , WiFi was excellent
Cons: Many options not available

Visiting in 2023, there ARE no “Bosnian standards for vegan food” as it simply does not exist in 99% of places…

An oasis in a food desert - Edit
SO glad we made the effort to walk out of town to get here. It's located near the university campus, and on a Sunday morning was full of students.
Read moreSpace for laptops, as well as power and an open wifi network. Nice seating indoors and semi-outdoors. My friends and I ended up staying for *five hours* reading and nibbling.
The veggie burger is beetroot based and very good. It comes with greek yoghurt, so ask for it without to veganise. We had oddly yellow hummus on the side.
They have several smoothies, all with plant milks. The 'funky' with wild berries is *delicious*. They all contain agave instead of honey (a sweet surprise for Bosnia). They have soya milk for the coffees, and I had a really nice cappucino.
Their cake menu was out of date, but I was gobsmacked when they told us they have three vegan cakes! They're more like tarts, with a nut-based crust and fruit-based cream filling. We had raspberry and blueberry flavours; they were really good.
They also have a huge tea selection. And the music was good.
Pros: Good food, Great space and vibe, Open on a Sunday
Cons: Not central

Good food - poor service - Edit
We had a burger, some hummus and pitta chips, a smoothie and some cheesecake - all were really good quality.
Read moreThe place itself is also a very nice, with outdoor seats and great music.
Service was poor - the waiters/waitresses were friendly, but innatentive and it was a constant struggle to get their attention as they were sitting down and chatting with other customers/workers in between.
However, given the lack of options in Mostar this place is certainly worth a visit.
Pros: Food, Atmosphere
Cons: Service

Luckily, by 2023 it seems the attentiveness, friendliness and English of the waiters here has reached very good levels!
