Few Options but Incredible

Amazing food, only one vegan option but everything tasted incredible and was a great price! More options would be great.

Exceptional place

I went there to try the Vegan Tasing Menu. Member of the staff was super helpful and committed to help we minimise amount of gluten in the dishes (we swapped the starter with regular menu - it was vegan anyway). Service is exceptional and very attentive. The place has really great atmosphere. Food was really amazing - it’s a must place to visit for a vegan person in Budapest.
Selection of teas is also great.

Proper Hungarian food, done vegan

My family took me for a vegan tasting menu of 5 courses, none of my family are vegan but they loved it and will be going back. I have never liked cabbage before, but the starter of cabbage in some crispy pastry was great, likewise my brother hates courgettes, but loved his courgette dish, was his fave out of 5 courses. But the autumn pumpkin soup was something else, I will be spending the next month trying to replicate it at home. Its vegan takes on tradtitional hungarian dishes (I'm hungarian) are such a refreshing change from plant burgers etc. Service was exceptional and the chef clearly cares. I think all the dishes are avaialble on the regular menu not just the tasting one. The tasting menu is only available for dinner, not lunch.

Pros: Great atmosphere - good for a date!, Staff are amazing, attentive but not fake friendly, the food, OMG

Cons: tasting menu only at night, not lunch!!!

Great for a date night

Really high quality, healthy, tasty food at a good price (£45 for two people). The portion sizes were surprisingly generous, although I do wish there was a better selection of vegan dishes available.

The cabbage starter was by far the highlight of everything we tried, it was just perfectly done. The pickles were a let down, so I’d give them a pass.

Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely go back.

Edit: we went back a year later and the vegan options on the seasonal menu were pretty much the same as the year before, except not quite as tasty. The new vegan dishes didn’t sound appealing to us at the time

Close to perfection

The food was beautifully plated with some really stand out dishes. The starter, a cabbage strudel, came with a horseradish foam I will be dreaming of for some time. The mains included a delicious stuffed red pepper, swimming in the pulp of its fellow peppers. There were several vegan options, all clearly marked. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and they accommodated our (annoying) desire to share all our dishes. If I had to quibble I would say that the bread and fermented vegetables we got weren’t quite up to scratch. The cabbage felt like it lacked the fizz of a true god-level pickle. All was redeemed by the carrot cake, as removed from its English cousin as the restaurant is from an English tea room. Instead it was a dense, sweet, bitter slab. My girlfriend said the portion size was too big, but I promptly broke up with her for such foolishness.
