Nuh badda eat from dem

Nuh badda!

Unauthentic bad tasting Caribbean style food.

The restaurant setting is good and modern so you are expecting the food to be the same. Oh no it stops right there.

We ordered the fried chicken meal £12.00
Three pieces of over fried chicken wings cut up to make it look more. Cheap boiled rice and a tablespoon of veg.

Macaroni cheese £5.50 runny and tasteless.

The ackee and calloo meal £12.00, was also a joke. Tin calloo cooked down with speckles of ackee. Salty rice and peas and didn't taste fresh and was sent back.

I'm not sure who this restaurant is catering for but it's certainly not folks who grew up on carribbean food.

Don't bother!...try elsewhere like Brixton,Acre Lane where there are 2 very good real Caribbean Takeaways which are always busy and well known for quality.

Pros: New premises

Cons: Food, Manager, Chef poor interpretation of Jamaican meals

Best food since arriving in London!

This food was genuinely incredible! Beyond tasty and a great portion
Well cooked and well prepared food, I was glad to have a break from a lot of the other vegan food I’ve had in London which felt quite synthetic. This was just straight up whole foods cooked well

My partners review - “deeply satisfying and filled me with joy”

Pros: Beyond delicious , Large portion , Best food I’ve had in London so far

The food served there is nothing like what real Jamaicans grow up eating.
Try real Caribbean takeaways where you see loads of people queueing up and the general menu on display..then there's very little to be surprised or disappointed with.
Acre lane, New Tings (all round best)or True Flavours for reasonable food with bad customer service ;-)

Delicious, healthy food

The Ackee dishes here are delicious, as is the tofu curry. With around four vegan options it's arguably the best vegan option in Elephant, and when everything tastes this delicious, I find myself returning time and time again.

Definitely worth grabbing the ackee and callalou if you're near Elephant Park.

Pros: Reasonably priced , Wonderfully home-cooked taste, Healthy

Food which makes me happy!

Anyone who says chickpeas are boring needs to have the chickpea curry at Tasty Jerk. Phenomenal amount of flavour in their vegan dishes, and very very generous portions. The dumplings are big and perfect.

Pros: Big portions, 4-5 vegan options

Cons: Limited sit-in space

Tasty homely Carribbean Food

Stumbled on this and it was a pleasant delight.
Such a friendly welcome to a small homely restaurant.
The food was very flavoursome, big portions and just overall tasty.
Seperate vegan menu that's is easy accessible.

I got chickpea curry with rice and peas and steamed veg. The dish was delicious.

Ordered dumpling and festival as well. And they were so good with the curry.

Pros: 5 main vegan options , Flavoursom food , Big portions
