Eat Your Art Out - Edit
Serene inside, the vegan tasting menu (Spring/Summer 2024) was exquisite, each with a story, that added to the experience. My friend and I already made plans to come for each season.

Amazing fine dining - Edit
A vegan menu and vegetarian menu! 8 course tasting is so filling. Food is artistic and each dish a new world to taste. I sound dramatic, but it's true!
Read moreWe spent 90 minutes here, for the 8 courses and for the dessert. PS, I noticed the bathroom has VEGAN SOAP. They mean what they say when they talk about cruelty free. As a vegan, I wish it had no vegetarian menu, but as a vegan, I'm SO grateful this place exists. A great place to celebrate our anniversary.

One of the Most Interesting Dining Experiences! - Edit
Loved everything about this place. Came to celebrate an anniversary on a Saturday night.
Read moreThe food was gorgeously presented. It was just so artistic and creative and combined unique and interesting flavors. I tried several foods I'd never had before. Of the 8 courses, I enjoyed every single one. You have to come at it with an open mind!
The ambiance is really cool as well. Not your typical dimly lit place where you can't see someone sitting 3 feet away. Very interesting decor.
Service was awesome. We asked the waiter to slow down the coursing, and it was immediately changed. They also asked for feedback on their new vegan menu at the end, which we were happy to give.
Overall, such a fun and wonderful experience! Will keep it in mind for any and all special occasions.
Pros: Creative Dishes, Great Tastes

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. - Edit
Truly a culinary experience. For my birthday my husband made a reservation and we were given a private tasting room. It was such a special and intimate experience. Each course has a story and special intention which the waiter presents to you with your course. It’s done subtly so it doesn’t take away from the intimacy of dining and each course is perfectly timed. The food itself is incredible. There are complex and delightfully complimentary favors in every course, paired with a tea. The chef is truly an artist. Presentation is excellent. Not only is the food beautiful, interesting, and delicious, but we were again pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. We left feeling healthier. They had a fun little birthday surprise too. We’ll definitely be back.

Awesome Restaurant with Innovated Food!! - Edit
Last Saturday, I tried out this vegetarian restaurant with some friends, and I must say, it was an entirely new experience! I'm not a strict vegetarian, but I do occasionally opt for a vegetarian meal to refresh my digestion. Taste of Beauty is a rare upscale vegetarian restaurant. Everything, from the ambiance to the dishes, was incredibly elegant. They've brought a fantastic innovation to vegetarian cuisine, and each dish is beautifully and intricately designed. I really enjoyed how their servers would describe a story or theme related to each dish when serving it – it reminded me of my experience at a Michelin three-star restaurant in New York.
Read moreOne dish I particularly loved was the Tea Gashi dessert. According to the server, it's a reinterpretation of a traditional Japanese sweet. The presentation of this delicate dessert was exquisite, and the flavor was truly unique. I ended up purchasing two additional boxes to gift to friends. I'm definitely planning to revisit this restaurant with friends in the future. It was an absolutely fantastic experience!

Worst dining experience, ever and so sad about it - Edit
I usually only post if I've had an amazing experience rewarding a business for doing a great job, but this experience made me worried that people think this is what good vegan food should taste like. I booked a reservation at taste of beauty to celebrate my partner's birthday. This was the only remaining vegan place that we hadn't already tried in orange county so we were really excited to try it.
Read moreWe dined on a Sunday evening, not the busiest night of the week but it was dead. There were two other tables. The host (who was also our server) sat smack dab in the middle of the dining room at a 4 top. My boyfriend's view was the back of the hostess desk which was messy. They need curtains or something to block off the clutter.
We weren't offered anything to drink when we sat down and no water ever came. They did bring a cold tea and a hot tea but when I asked if they had an herbal option (we don't drink caffeine) they said no. So we just took a few sips but weren't going to be able to finish it.
The waiter explained how everything worked and that we could change the speed of our dining experience. The first course came out and the soup was luke warm with a sort of "film" on the top of the soup. It was tasty but it wasn't hot. So, we flagged down the waiter which actually took a good 2-3 minutes and told him that we were really sorry to report it wasn't hot. He then replied that cashews aren't supposed to be hot. And I said, oh you mean oats - it's an oat milk base? And he said yes that oats shouldn't be heated up that the soup wasn't meant to be hot. He asked if we wanted to send it back but if they were just going to send out more luke warm soup it wasn't worth it. He reported back that the head chef told him that indeed the soup wasn't supposed to be hot. We were astonished that you'd serve luke warm soup as a first course. It was not gazpacho or a cold soup, it just wasn't hot. Also at this time my boyfriend noticed that his placemat was broken. Not a $$$$ fine dining experience.
The second course caThe second course came out and it was visually pleasing but it was a deconstructed brussel sprout.... with crushed lima beans under it and pea - absolutely tasted like baby food. We waved the waiter back down and told him that we were really sorry but we didn't want to continue the set menu.
He was understanding and told us that we wouldn't be charged. Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had.
Cons: Tasteless food, Slow service, Terrible ambiance

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! - Edit
I feel like being vegan, you kind of lose out on the fine dining experience. You go to a “five star” restaurant and they only have impossible burgers. This place went above and beyond to give us an incredible experience and unbelievable food. Everything was organic and the presentation for each item on the 8 course meal was incredible! And Anthony our server was the absolute sweetest!

A fine culinary experience - Edit
My husband insisted to take me to this restaurant for my birthday. A friend recommended it to us. It was fabulous! I love the experience and what a birthday gift. The menu is a fixed menu called Orchid Tasting Menu which is an 8-courses vegan dishes with 2 tea pairings: room temperature house tea and hot jasmine tea. This is a fine dining restaurant and hopefully will get a Michelin star one day. The setting is very elegant and we were seated in a separate room and served by at least 3 wait staff. The courses come one at a time and each dish comes with a story about the dish creation. It is definitely a culinary experience above and beyond. I love them all except the Scroll Marked which is just ordinary. The 1st course, Facial Mask Soup, is so good and we wanted more and more. Hubby loves this one. The most interesting story was the Wheel of Life. Lakeside Treasure was so yummy. My favorite is the To Panda! which is the most interesting and fun how it is served and cooked in a bamboo stick then we need to push out the sticky rice with a stick. It was very tasty and savory. I love the dessert Ivory Tower too(ube dessert).
Read moreThe Orchid Tasting Menu: - Facial Mask Soup, Soft Jade, Wheel of Life, The Scroll Marked, Lakeside Treasure, Lady Mysterious, To Panda!, Ivory Tower. The menu may change slightly. We will be back for special occasions.
It is definitely not just an eating activity like the day to day dining out but it was a fine culinary experience.
Pros: Fine service, Fine food and design, Fine culinary experience
Cons: Expensive
