Fun bistro vibe - Edit
We were very happy to find a restaurant that offers a large selection of vegan options that are not the typical Mediterranean or Asian fare. The bistro is located in a quaint area off of Detroit Ave. The atmosphere was charming and the service was excellent.
Read moreWe shared several dishes on our visit so we could sample several options. Needless to say, we had leftovers to take home. The potato leek soup was okay. The presentation was beautiful! It had a very distinct flavor that my husband enjoyed more than I did. The lentil cakes were just okay as well, but the arugula salad that came with it was very good.
We tried two different tartines - blackened tofu and the Mushroom French dip. They were both delicious. The bread on these open faced sandwiches was cooked perfectly and the flavors were really good.
Of course we had to try dessert. Tonight’s feature was a chocolate torte that was amazing!!
Looking forward to another visit so we can try other menu items.
Pros: Excellent atmosphere and service , Large variety of vegan dishes
Cons: Tartines are a bit pricey for a sandwich

Great Bistro! - Edit
We were delighted to find that once you flip the menu over, there are vegan equivalents to the regular menu. The extensive selections are impressive, making this place truly underrated. The mushroom pizza had a rich truffle flavor that paired perfectly with chèvre. While the tofu on the tartine was slightly bland, it complemented the arugula and side salad nicely. The vegan risotto was delicious, bursting with fresh, herby flavors. The pot de crème was outstanding, especially if you enjoy a sweet and salty combination. The decor is charming with a cozy ambiance, and the service was attentive and personable. We discovered this gem through Happy Cow, and it has easily become our favorite French spot in the area.

Innovative gourmet vegan menu - Edit
This eatery, located in the Old Detroit Road section of Rocky River, is a gem. They offer a separate all-vegan menu with extensive offerings in every category.
Read moreWe enjoyed two entrees: the grilled tofu with roasted baby carrots and the tofu pizza with sweet, pickled veggies. Both were superb and exquisitely seasoned.
Service was excellent. We will come back to try other menu offerings.
Seating is limited, so a reservation is recommended even early in the day. We were there at noon on a Saturday, when they first opened, and the place filled up right away. Also, in the winter, dress warmly; no matter where you sit, you can feel the cold air when the front door is opened.
I wish I could give this place a 5 rating, but can’t since it is not 100% vegan. The good news is that there will be something for every type of eater in your group.
Pros: Separate vegan menu , Innovative cuisine , Excellent service
Cons: A bit noisy, Cold in the wintertime , Off the beaten track; a little hard to find

Need to try other options/expensive - Edit
I love that they have an extensive vegan menu, which is why I rated 3 stars; however, I was not a huge fan of my choices. We went during Sunday brunch. Drinks are good here, I got a pomegranate pear mocktail. My non vegan boyfriend and I shared a baguette with butter and jam, which was good. The did have vegan butter. The non vegan butter was herbed and looked much better than the non-vegan, which tasted like margarine. I started out with the French onion soup, which was quite acidic (I’m guessing white wine) with little flavor. The onions were good but everything else was subpar. I didn’t end up finishing it. For my entree I got the bistro breakfast. The only thing I somewhat liked were the “eggs”. I wasn’t your typical tofu scramble, it had a nice texture and was flavorful, but a little too salty for my taste. Everything else was bland—the quinoa cakes (please don’t get these) & the hash browns. It seemed as if there was no in-between bland or salty. I’m hoping it was just a bad day and next time is better—I will explore the other vegan options. For the price, I was expecting much better.
