So delicious! - Edit
Some of the best vegan Mexican food I’ve ever had. We had 2 kinds of tacos and they were both delicious. The gorditas were so fresh and tasty, too. I would eat here all the time if I lived in SA.

Dreamy vegan tacos - Edit
Truly amazing vegan tacos, always made with care, you won't be disappointed. The burritos are also really good and toasted to perfection. To top it off, the avocado has never not been perfectly, perfectly ripe😄 The salsas I've had are *picante* so be careful before pouring all over your food. New location outside Sanitary Tortilla is a little bit off the beaten track (but still close to downtown and the river), but well worth the trip.

Hidden Gem - Edit
Really great food in a historic district a short walk from the river walk. I tried the tacos al pastor and gorditas asada. Both were delicious. There is a bike shop next to the food truck that has a lot of drink options too (coffees, sodas, beer, etc). I saw previous reviews saying the street tacos were 3 for $8. Now, they are 4 for $10. Worth it in my opinion. Definitely going back!

Tacos get a "B" - Edit
That's all I tried -- the street tacos -- four for $10. Solid flavors: lots of raw onions, cooked onions and cilantro on beans and a dry "meat." Add your own amount of their hot sauce, which was good. Chips really fresh tasting.
Read morePros: Fun vegan Mexican selections; ability to add spicy, (or not!).
Cons: A little spendy. I'm used to a juicier taco.

I visited San Antonio almost a year ago and I still think about these tacos. Everything (including the salsa) was made on the spot— so fresh, so spicy, so delicious! Visit San Antonio just to eat here!

And it was worth every step and sweat bead to eat here. The quesadilla con Carne pastor style was so good. The street tacos were also delicious.

Tapatio Vegan Tacos - Edit
The tacos are excellent but be aware these are "mini" tacos and very pricey at 3 for $8! Convenient store parking lot, no table or chairs. Be aware when given a choice to eat there or to go, you are upcharged $1.25 for a to go container.

Cons: Too expensive for what you get!

One of our favorite joints in town!
Read moreOwners are from Guadalajara Mexico and the vegan cheese is made in-house (coconut based). Salsas and masa (corn dough) are also home-made.
I recommend the asada tacos and gorditas.

DANKEST VEGAN MEXICAN STREET FOOD IN TEXAS - Edit
The many times I’ve visited Tapatio Vegan Tacos I’ve received nothing but southern hospitality, I mean I feel like I’m going to see my grandma when I see this team and they feed me like my grandmother would too! 😂 I mean seriously carne asadas, quesadillas, our favorite was the torta adobado with every single one of their many in house made salads and garnishes, try the verde if you brave and every one loves the pickled onions 😇🤤👍🏼💚🌱

This place was hard to find at first but once we found it, myself and my family were very impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Even my mom who is very skeptical and picky when it comes to vegan food was very impressed.

Are you sure the food is oil free? Just want to double check because I eat oil free, but I am pretty sure those chips are deep fried.

Gorditas and Torta Ahogada - Edit
I picked up my order of gordita's (al pastor) and torta ahogada on a Friday and it was very good! When you're eating the food you can tell that they love what they are doing. While I waited for my order, I was given mini tacos to eat which were delicious as well. The couple cooking was very friendly and enjoy what theyre doing. The prices are more than reasonable.

Delicious! - Edit
This couple can veganize everything and anything! They have their own menu but have accepted custom requests. Their tortas ahogadas are amazing! Their tacos and sopes as well, they make the best salsas too. Their desserts are heavenly, the raw cheesecakes and brownies are my favorite. Definitely my favorite place to order vegan food from in SA.
