Loved it - Edit
I ate here twice last year and loved it so much I had to come again this year. They have a lot of vegan options! Both times I had gigantes (butter beans) that were to die for and dolmadakia, which was tasty but nothing special. Last year I also tried some other dished that I remember were also delicious. Friendly service and nice atmosphere next to the pool. Would recommend!

Do not recommend, seriously disappointed - Edit
I had such high expectations for this place given the amount of good reviews and the fact that they have a separate menu full of vegan dishes. Well, it didn't count for sh*t. We ordered the bruschetta, which is marked as vegan on the menu, but instead they brought us the veggie version because their vegan and non-vegan version are called exactly the same. After that, we did not trust anything they put before us of course and before bringing dessert, they told us that they couldn't be sure that their banana split was vegan, as it might contain dairy (why do they have it listed as vegan if the cream might not be vegan?!). They ended up bringing us a banana cut in half with some nuts on top and 1 scoop of who knows what and charged us full price for it.
Read moreThe owner might be wanting to make his restaurant more vegan friendly, but the staff do not care or even understand one single bit. Definitely do not recommend.

Vegan options - Edit
Lots of vegan options. Do not choose pizza (who does that when in Greece anyway). Vegan cheeseburger was ok. Potato chips amazing and dressing for dipping them also very good. I guess the greek options had been a better choice but we wanted a snack and not full dinner. The two snack options were club sandwich and cheeseburger (served until 1800). They were out of the club sandwich hence the pizza for my three year old. It came with maiz, green pepper, mushroom and a vegan cheese substitute. Surroundings were ok, but a lot of splashing from the pool because it was so close.

Cons: Pizza (not very good), Very close to hotel pool, Decorations (missing)

Best food in Crete! - Edit
Seriously the best meal I've had in Crete, and I've been driving all over the island.
Read moreHas a 2 page fully vegan menu, everything looked so delicious. I got the Feta Saganaki (I had to ask for no honey, but they made a special syrup for me). This was mind blowing, seriously.
Then I got the Dakos, Taboule, and Kantaifi for dessert, also incredible. The owner was super friendly and willing to customize anything.
Pros: Delicious, Separate vegan menu , Friendly

The best vegan Feta you'll have - Edit
All your wildest vegan Feta dreams will come true here. Honestly a must visit if youre anywhere near, great for group omni options as well. We also got the sandwiches for a beach takeaway the next day and they held up! Everything is delicious, the baked Feta is our fav, the service is great and the manager was hilarious.

So many options! - Edit
Me and my partner stumbled across this place on here when we were at iguana beach and didn’t know where to go. We definitely over ordered with the stuffed vine leaves, fava bean dip, tabouleh, vegan club sandwich and stuffed pepper and tomato. There was so much on the menu to chose from and things that could be made vegan it was hard to chose. Everything we had was fantastic but our eyes were too big for our bellies! The portion sizes were large. Service wasn’t the fastest and when you get your bill make sure you check it because we had things added that we’d not had.

MUST VISIT - Edit
Excellent food! I’m a vegan and was impressed with all the vegan options. I had the gemista (stuffed pepper, stuffed tomato and courgette/potato side) and my partner had the tuna club sandwich and we finished every last bite. Would completely recommend whether you are a vegan, veggie, fish/meat eater, there is something delicious for everyone!

Basically 5 Stars - Edit
Not fully vegan, I get it, but it’s a very nice place to eat with an extremely attentive host and a great menu (everything is colour-coded to show vegan, veggie, gluten, can be made vegan etc.) the Gemista was recommended to me and absolutely bangs as a dish, simply irresistible! Their Mojitos were also featured in the Daily Mail they were so good (I know, I hate that paper too, but the food and drink section ain’t bad). If you like cats and dogs there are a bunch weaving around as well, so cute.

Fantastic vegan friendly restaurant - Edit
Amazing options for vegans and all dietary restrictions. The servers are knowledgeable and so much fun, they really want you to have the best time possible and will cater to suit your needs. Fantastic location close to iguana beach. Plenty of entertainment by the staff and the animals hanging about. Lots of care put into making the menu vegan friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough. Best vegan food I’ve had in Greece!

Tasty vegan food by the beach - Edit
If you get hungry after swimming in one of Chania's best city beaches make sure to stop at Talos restaurant just across the road from Agia Apostoli beach to enjoy some delicious home cooked Greek vegan/vegetarian specialties. The menu is clearly marked in colors what can be made vegan or vegetarian so there are a lot of options. Lovely restaurant by the pool completes the picture. ❤ We enjoyed the service and the chat with the friendly owner very much and hope to be back again and find even more vegan dishes on the menu or entirely vegan to rate it 5*.

Loads of vegan options - Edit
There are several vegan options, including a vegan dessert (a chocolate and cookie log). We ordered all of the vegan options and shared them, and we're glad we did. The stand outs were the crispy courgettes on the starter menu and the delicately spiced aubergine dish on the mains menu. We enjoyed our meal at Talos far more than the meal at Pulse, and the staff at Talos were far more friendly too. We would go again if we had more time in Chania. I'm limited to four stars as it's not fully vegan.

Very good lasagna - Edit
I would give this restaurant three stars because the selection and variety of vegan food is not as large as some of the reviews here suggest. Buuuut the vegan lasagna was really, really good. So I have to give an extra star for that. The pool area was full of kids when we came for early dinner, but I imagine it's a nice setting at night. The waiter was really nice and helpful.

Had the vegetable lasagne with garlic bread and a small bottle of water. The lasagne was very tasty and the garlic bread was really nice. Service was laid back no stress, very efficient. At the end I was given 2 chocolate brownies and a complementary raki 2 shots. Total bill costs €11.50.

I would give 5 stars if happy cow would allow it. Loved the vegetable lasagne (yummy!!!) Awesome food, nice atmosphere, great prices and friendly service! They offered vegan vanilla ice cream for dessert, but we choosed a Mojito cocktail instead. 😃 We will definitely come back!

Excellent lasagna - Edit
Had the best vegan lasagna I’ve ever tried. Only reason I deducted a star was because the menu said that one or more of the desserts were vegan/adaptable to vegan, but when I asked I was told that actually none of the desserts were vegan? Disappointed because I was looking forward to it. Other than that excellent food.

Amazing place that vegans and non-vegans will enjoy! - Edit
I would give it 5 stars but Happy Cow won’t allow that if it’s not a 100% vegetarian restaurant. I ate dinner here tonight with my non-vegan family and friends and the experience far exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and fresh. The menu clearly stated what was vegan and what could be modified to be vegan. I also liked how there were photos of all the menu options! The staff was so friendly and hospitable and definitely made the experience even better. It’s in a beautiful location too. I definitely will be coming back again before I leave!
