Shop selling taiyaki, a traditional Japanese baked sweet in the shape of a fish and is filled with red bean paste. Regular taiyaki is vegan. The one that comes with ice cream is not. Also has daily changing vegan bread and shaved ice. Close to Yuigahama station. Open Tue-Sun 10:00am-6:00pm. Closed Mon.

Interesting snack - Edit
We got the red bean and the green tea fish. Very interesting vegan snack. The red bean one was very sweet; the dough itself isn’t sweet, just the filling.

As we had to wait for the snack to be prepared, we waited inside with some water. They have few seats inside and outdoors available. No air-con.
The restaurant is located on a Main Street and easy to spot.
We confirmed, that besides the chocolate one none of the fish include dairy or eggs.

Delicious Taiyaki! - Edit
It was our first time trying Taiyaki and it was delicious! There's a few flavours available and also a limited flavour. They are made fresh, so it was about an 8 minute wait. It was worth it to see them be made and they were warm and tasty! Definitely stop by and give it a try! We got red bean, black sesame and hazelnut and they were all amazing. Each flavour varies in price, with the most expensive being about ¥320. They only accept cash and they also do other things like shaved ice.

Amazing-I’m so glad I got to try this treat. I got a matcha one and a red bean one. Both were delicious- not too sweet but very soft. The worker makes them by order, so it is a bit of a wait. He also doesn’t accept credit card, but pointed out a convenience store right next door that had an atm. And nothing is actually marked vegan, so I guess I’m trusting happy cow for this one!

First place around Tokyo we found that offers vegan tayaki. I had the one with sesame, it was really good. They are freshly made, so a bit of a wait is neccessary. Also offers shaved ice.

Unlike other taiyaki stands, here they cook yours up fresh after you order it, so you have a wait a little. My matcha taiyaki was well worth the wait though.

Vegan taiyaki is so rare! Usually it uses egg and milk as ingredients. Red bean paste, black sesame, matcha and chestnut are all vegan.

Some of the breads are also vegan including the little cute cat bread.
The shop also has shaved ice and other several beverages including tapioca ( I assume the ones without milk are vegan)
