Great Japanese vegan food - Edit
We had a great meal here. They have iPads with an English menu and they have a vegan menu to choose from. The food was great- try the marinated tofu! It wasn’t too expensive and it’s a really nice restaurant. Definitely go here!

Why is this place not busier?! - Edit
These udons were amaaaaazing. Had them with fried tofu and ginger, and their homemade lemonade as drink. It was a Saturday evening and this place deserves to be way more busy. Oishi!

Yummy vegan udon, many choices - Edit
Lovely place with friendly staff, English menu (one exclusively with all the vegan options) and tasty food.
Read moreI had the vegan udon with tempura (hot) and it came with about eight different veggies in tempura batter. The broth was extra flavorful due to the grated ginger and radish added on top of the udon noodles.

Amazing udon place - Edit
I had a great experience here. The place is modern and the staff is sooo friendly. They speak English and also they have a digital menu to order everything.
Read moreI tried the vegan udon with wakame and deep fry tofu: it was amazing. Actually the broth tasted like fish so I asked if the dashi was really vegan and the waitress confirmed it. Also, the tofu (local product btw) salad with nut sauce was so tasty that I would come back just to have it again.
At the end, they invited us to some tea and traditional Japanese sweets :)
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Very friendly staff, Cheap and big udon plates
Cons: Not fully vegan, I hope they do in the future

Fantastic - Edit
There were quite a few vegan options on their menu - they have iPads with the English menu on, and a section on it is all vegan. I had the fried potatoes and the tofu with udon (I cant remember the proper name, sorry) and both were delicious and left me very full. The main cost around 650 yen and the side disk around 450 yen (I think). The staff were incredibly lovely and welcoming. If my visit here was longer I would definitely be going back.

Brilliant! - Edit
Just as all the other reviews said, this place is great! Vegan menu, shown to you on a tablet. We arrived at 2pm after the lunch rush (they close at 3pm before opening again later for the evening) and were told as they weren’t busy we could choose from the dinner menu as well as the lunch menu. They were running low on some things (no edamame and one other thing we enquires about).
Read moreI had the tempura served on noodles, you get your broth (hot or cold) separately on the side. The tempura was so yummy, I had lotus root, sweet potato, pumpkin, avocado, okra, peppers, spring onion and potato. The noodles were delicious too.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Really good English, easy to order , Cool inside
Cons: Check the opening times , Can get really busy apparently

Delicious and cheap - Edit
There are multiple vegan options. We went for lunch and each had a huge portion of udon soup. It was delicious and absolutely affordable (around 650 yen per soup) and it even included a coup of tea and some mochi. Will go there again!

I was so happy to find this restaurant. As a vegetarian traveler in Japan it was hard to find and eat Japanese food. Usually not many choices for me. But this restaurant had variety of vegetarian/began food. My friend and I went there 2 nights in a row.

Easy to order but a bit fancy - Edit
So ordering was super easy. English menu on tablets and with vegetarian/vegan clearly labelled as well as being able to tweak dishes to suit. I found the food wasn’t quite as flavoursome as other food I’ve had in Japan. Although it had a lot of options which was great, my boyfriend and I both agreed we’d had tastier food. It felt a little delicate and I prefer more of a flavour punch. It’s a nice restaurant if you want a proper sit down meal as opposed to the machine ramen places where it can be a bit rushed, although probably more authentic. Personal preference of course as others may enjoy the delicate flavours.

Best Udon I had in Japan - Edit
Modern Ambiente with a lot of wood used. The English menu is displayed on a tablet where you also order from. For lunch, you can get a large serving for free (not sure if it's the same for dinner). The food is absolutely delicious if you remotely like Udon. We had one with Greens, Tomatoes and fried Avocado in it with some Japanese lime as topping. Highly recommend! Also has great value, even if you don't get the large serving. Would give 5 stars if it were possible.

One of the best vegan meals I’ve had in Japan! Separate vegan menu in English which is on a digital tablet.
Read moreEverything prepared from scratch and is fully vegan, the manager was explaining to me this, and they understand not to just cook with meat and remove it, but to omit entirely for the whole dish.
Great meal and dessert options, I had a vegan mochi with soybean power which was super good!
If you’re in Hiroshima then you must visit this restaurant! It’s rare to find places that understand veganism this well in Japan!

Come here! - Edit
There is a full vegan menu they will bring out to you if you ask. It has various types of udon and appetizers (grilled eggplant, tofu with walnut sauce, fried taro, tempura, etc) with pictures. I ordered the bukkake udon which was one of the cheaper items on the menu (I think ¥530?) and received a nice generously sized bowl of noodles. This place is pretty close to the main tourist attractions in Hiroshima, so if you're looking for some good Japanese food while you're in town, I'd recommend a visit here!
Read moreUPDATE: I started coming here for dinner every night since arriving in Hiroshima. I didn't intend on doing so, but the other places I wanted to eat at either had their tables full when I arrived, were too far away, or simply did not have sufficient vegan options. In a way I'm glad that happened because my multiple trips here have allowed me to fully realize just how great this place is!! Every meal I've had has been reasonably priced and is always generous in portion. I've tried a new appetizer every time and they've all been delicious. Every meal ends with a free cup of hot tea and a free sample of their warabi mochi with kinako. I'm always served with a smile and I always leave with a full stomach. I'll be sad not to eat here when my trip is over!
Pros: lots of vegan options, good portions, relatively cheap

Perfect - Edit
I would love to give 5 stars, but happy cow won’t let me. My friend and I had the best time here tonight. The service was above and beyond, all the staff were so kind and the food was incredible. The food and drinks (including alcohol!) are excellently priced and the serving sizes are large. The owner came over to talk to us about vegan food and she was very lovely. Staff speak English very well and will ask if you want the vegan menu! They also gave us free vegan mochi and tea at the end of our meal and a little udon sticker as we left! I wish we had places like this back home and I will definitely be coming back here next time I’m in Japan. I couldn’t be happier
