Best option for vegans in town

The vegan scene in Dundee is a little lacking but here you will find the great classics of the Lebanese cuisine, the menu marks clearly the vegan options and the staff is ready to accommodate you. The portions are very generous, the food is tasty and the ingredients fresh. A big recommend!

Great Lebanese place

Lebanese place are always an amazing save for vegans and this one doesn’t disappoint. The vegan offering is well written and everything is super tasty. The falafel are super fresh and crunchy. The mint tea is also really nice.

Pros: Fresh food

Amazing baba ganoush

Really enjoyed this 4 course meal, especially the baba ganoush (ordered a second plate of it) and the potato salad. Really cosy wee place and lovely staff. You will leave stuffed!

Just wish the main was a bit more inventive than stuffed peppers.

Tahini express, the smaller of the two restaurants

Myself and a friend ordered 5 mezzes: the spicy potato, hummus, baba ganoush, halloumi and falafel and it was absolutely lush! Easily my new fav place to eat in dundee

So much nice food!

Really friendly place. There is a set price and they bring three courses. I told them I was vegan art the start and they were really accommodating. The mezze dishes to share had plenty of vegan choices and the final course was a pepper stuffed with tomato rice. I've been told that if you book ahead and tell them you're vegan they'll do something even nicer.
The atmosphere is lovely and cosy. Great place to eat with friends.
They are happy to let you take away what you can't finish (you'll probably need to)

Excellent food!

Brilliant food, very lovely staff. The staff were willing to accommodate any dietary requirements including allergy’s. Evening meal is £19.99 per person, but includes a massive 3 course tapas menu. Too much food for me but definitely worth the money.

Pros: Lots of vegetarian options, Open to any dietary requirements

Cons: Evening food is only tapas, More on the expensive side.

Deserves five stars *****

The restaurant is very popular and quite small so you may not get a table in the evening if you haven't booked. They do tapas and serve a selection of mouth-watering vegan dishes fit for a king. When you have finished, they come out with more. Then, just when you think you can't eat another morsel they ask if you are ready for your grill. "No. Sorry. I'm stuffed!" No problem, they put it all in doggy bags. The desserts (e.g. baklava) are not vegan but they produced an impromptu plate of sliced melon and fresh dates. I had black tea with mint as an accompaniment throughout the meal and the pot was regularly topped up with more boiling water. This review describes my last visit to Tahini but I've been a few times before and have always left happy. This restaurant is a perfect example of why Happy Cow should allow us to award 5 stars to non-vegan establishments.

Pros: Superb food., Generous helpings., Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

Cons: Very popular so best to book.
