Truly authentic Mexican Food! - Edit
My partner and I both enjoyed a really good vegan burrito and tacos, washed down with a delicious margarita. Chris and Marisol were both lovely to talk to (my partner is Mexican so there was plenty to talk about!) We hope to visit again in the future!

What a hidden gem in Ambleside. Very delicious tacos. We went for spice level 10. Tasty without vegan cheese.

Healthy, fresh ingredients and yummy tacos - Edit
Got the vegan tacos with come with beans, rice and vegan cheese. The vegan cheese actually melts in the tacos, and the ingredients tasted very fresh. Vegan cheese didn’t melt in the nachos as they were heated up, but am sure you can probably ask for them to be heated. Wholesome married couple run the restaurant and very authentic food.

Cracking Vegan Tacos - Edit
Loved the whole vibe of Taco del Sol..sat in the window and had vegan tacos with Mexican rice and hot sauce... absolutely delicious food and really fresh. Will definitely revisit when in Ambleside.

Excellent tacos! - Edit
We loved our tacos, and the service was friendly. We shared a delicious margarita while we waited for our food, and then despite the cool, rainy day, we dried off the bench in front and enjoyed our meal. We highly recommend Tacos del Sol!

Extremely friendly staff - authentic food as well. Great variety that largely caters to a wide audience without diluting the experience. I had the vegetarian burrito, my partner had the chicken. I tried both and they were excellent. I've heard the tacos are also good, I'll check those out next time I'm there.

Really authentic Mexican food by a Mexican lady. Absolutely fantastic for Vegans and Vegetarians. Lots of different options. Nothing too much trouble!

Both times we ordered tacos and burritos and then loved it so much we ordered another portion each.
Really tasty food, very very reasonable priced (especially for the Lake District).
The owners are very friendly and really keen to please and adapt the "heat" of the Mexican food to your taste.
A welcome addition to Ambleside.

Oh my goodness the flavours here are exceptional! I had the veggie (vegan) tacos and they were amazing. Reminded me of my time in Hawaii and Canada with the more genuine Mexican flavours.
