I ordered the brussel sprout tacos. He asked if I wanted a combo and I said sure. I asked if the beans were vegan and he said yes.
Tacos were fine. Good flavor but the tacos were so teeny tiny I ate one in three bites. The taco shell was so thick and hard it drowned out the flavor of the I side. Also, all the pictures I saw online had the tacos topped with pico and jalapeños but mine had nothing. The rice was good. Ate almost all the beans but then noticed that there was loads of small chopped up pieces of bacon or chorizo.
I’ve been vegan for 4 years. This was the first time I’ve eaten meat since. I felt disgusting. I wanted to throw up knowing I ate meat. I feel so used by this company that this guy told me they were vegan and then was fed meat.
My friend ordered chicken tacos but he realized after we paid that there was no more chicken. Didn’t even apologize for it just told her there’s no chicken. She doesn’t eat any other meat so she didn’t eat. An apology or sympathy would’ve been nice.
The inside was cool but kinda dirty. Finger prints all over mirror. Good sitting on tables for awhile.
My three tiny tacos, rice and beans were $15. My husband got huge slabs of pork on his tacos all dressed up and his was only $12 with sides. I feel like they are taking advantage of vegans. How can three gigantic slabs of roasted pork be cheaper than a total of maybe 10 sliced brussel sprouts??
Please run away from this place. East location may be better but the west location doesn’t care about feeding vegans meat and will charge you out the ass for tiny mediocre food.

I feel like this happens A LOT when I go out to eat with my carnivore friends. They get a massive plate of food and I get 1/3 the size for the same price. It's disgusting how vegans are exploited. It's bad enough that it happens to the animals 😕

Beans and rice in Mexican places are NOT vegan. Most places used lard, chorizo or bacon as you saw and the rice always has chicken bouillon, that’s the Mexican way. I’m Mexican so I only go to fully vegan Mexican places cause I don’t trust them. Sadly.

Delicious Tacos - Edit
We walked into Taco Shop and immediately knew we had made the right choice. The atmosphere is fun and funky with arcade games and funny stickers all over. My wife and I looked over the menu and simply said, "We want to try all the vegan stuff." 20 minutes and $60 later we had enough food to feed 4-5 people!

✅The chipotle bbq cauliflower on a soft corn tortilla bring the heat!
✅The nachos were huge. We ordered the personal size and it was still massive. Filled with vegan cheese sauce and beans.
✅The potato and jackfruit flautas were filling and mild which was nice to calm a burning mouth after the spicy cauliflower.
Also, the craft beer prices are reasonably price which is appreciated (we've definitely had a more expensive drink tab than the food before). We left with many to-go boxes and I can't wait to eat it for lunch today
Pros: Vegan Tacos, Vegan Nachos, Beer
Cons: Limited seating
