I absolutely LOVED my vegan tacos here. There are multiple options for tacos as well as sides. And they were all BANGING!! Will absolutely come back. Highly recommend! So flavorful!

Great vegan options

Vegan food love from nachos to tacos. Taco Mamacitas is Germantown neighborhood eatery with not only consistency in fresh food but friendly staff and comfy hangout atmosphere.

Pros: Food, Drinks, Staff

Cons: Nothing

Good Menu Variety

There was a separate menu for vegan options that I appreciated. My husband loved his tortilla soup but I wasn’t a big fan of the tacos I ordered. It was decent but I’ve definitely had better vegan Mexican food for cheaper.

Food could use more flavor

I was pleasantly surprised with the separate vegan menu and felt like I had plenty of options. However guacamole was slightly bland, vegan tortilla soup was spicy but needed more salt and flavor for my taste. Freaking vegan taco was good but I added lime juice, hot sauce, salt and pepper.

Pros: Separate vegan menu , Option for soup, tacos, enchiladas, sides

Cons: Not cheap , Food could use more flavor, specially for Tex Mex

Very tasty but also VERY pricey

Has a vegan menu with a gluten free menu on the back. So we got guacamole with chips and it was ALOT of chips, so you get your money’s worth on that;however, the other items like tacos are around $3.5ish each and it doesn’t come with anything. You have to order them separate and then add additional sides which becomes expensive quickly. We also got the enchilada dish that came with rice. Overall we order the guacamole, enchilada plate that came with rice and one taco with a side of beans and it came to over $30. The food was very tasty and I would eat there again, I just wouldn’t come very hungry.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Tasty, Cute atmosphere

Cons: EXPENSIVE, Pay for parking

Love this place

This is the perfect place to go with your non-vegan friends and family. All of the tacos are out of this world, plantains are one of my favorite foods, and the vegan enchiladas. I tried the vegan tortilla soup last night and it wasn't very flavourful and didn't taste like a classic tortilla soup. Other than that, really good food and cozy atmosphere.

Pros: Vegan Jerk Taco, Plantains

great food!

This chain restaurant is a funky place to grab a bite. Expect a long wait if you go during lunch or on a weekend evening. The vegan menu is great! The vegan jerk taco is my favorite. Lots of flavor. Wish we had these in ATL.

SO. GOOD.

They have a vegan menu you can ask for. Vegan enchiladas, vegan tacos (can get two and a side for 8.99), and they have vegan chips that are separate from the shared oil for meat. The waiters were great and very nice, and the margaritas were awesome.

Hit or Miss

I've been here a few times now and I either LOVE it or am disappointed. I love that they have a vegan/vegetarian menu and every waiter I have had has been knowledgable and able to answer my questions. I usually get the jerk tacos which are plantains fried with jerk sauce. They are usually great, twice they have been bland? Maybe they forgot the sauce. I really like the vegan enchiladas, with a side of fried plantain of course. The el camino margarita is on point! That being said, i think it is annoying that you have to pay for chips and salsa (it is definitely more expensive than the huge number of mexican restaurants in town that offer than for free) and the salsa has sucked every time we got it. Now I get the guacamole which is yummy. The food has been good enough times that I keep coming back, but every once in a while I'm left wanting more. Pretty pricey for the amount of food, but it is a good place to take omnivores who are afraid to eat meatless for a meal.

Great Place for Vegan and Meat-Eaters

My husband is not vegan nor is my family. This is a place where I feel comfortable and free to eat vegan gluten-free food without having to explain myself to the waiter. Love it. Classic.

Okay vegan options

Vegan options are pretty good, but small. The margaritas and guac are great. Expensive for the amount of food you're given.

Vegan menu!

I visited this restaurant on a business trip with a meat eater, and we could not have been happier with our decision! Great food for both of us. Great chips and fresh salsa. I asked for the vegan menu, and there are many vegan options. The staff was very vegan friendly.

The vegan tortilla soup was a bit disappointing for the price. It's very light, mostly broth, not much substance. It tasted good but isn't worth the price tag.

I then had two different vegan tacos for lunch. Both tacos were delicious, but the jerk tacos did not taste "jerk" or spicy enough for my preference. It was good, but I prefer spicy to sweet. They do have hot sauces that you can add to spice things up a bit. My other vegan taco was very good.

I really liked the large outdoor seating area just because it was large and relaxing. The view is not anything special, but it was nice just to be outside in the beautiful weather.

Pros: vegan menu!, reasonably priced, good food

Luv this place - Freakin Vegan Taco is the best

Taco Mamacita has a totally separate vegan menu -- make sure to ask for it before they seat you. My favorites are the Freakin' Vegan Taco and the Vegan Grande Chopped Salad, although I've also had the Guacamole Taco and the Vegan Enchiladas. The Freakin' Vegan Taco is SO GOOD -- definitely the best taco on the menu, better than the Jerk Taco and the Guac Taco. As for the side dishes, both the black bean & corn salad and the sweet potato fries are excellent. They have a special deal where you can get two tacos and a side for a reduced price. Also, they're open late (until at least 11:00 pm) every night.

Love the outdoor patio. Fun atmosphere with quirky Tex-Mex decor in a great location near Music Row. Nice, clean bathrooms. Parking can be a little dicey during peak hours, but the key is to find a nearby side street, parallel park, and walk a block or two. There's a pay lot across the street, but on-street parking is free -- you just have to find a spot.

Also, a gelato shop just opened next door to Taco Mamacita, and they typically have 1-3 vegan gelatos (sorbets) available each day!

Pros: Good portion sizes, Food comes out super fast!, Open till 11 pm

Cons: Loud, Often full of obnoxious Vandy kids, Drafty if host props open the front door

They have a vegan menu!

Fresh and delicious! Lots of vegan options (ask for the vegan menu- see photos uploaded). They offer a special as well where you get 2 tacos and a side for an excellent deal. I had the vegan jerk taco and the avocado taco. I totally suggest these. I had the black bean and corn salad as my side but I also had a sample of their sweet potato fries (probably some of the best I've ever had).
The atmostphere is clean and vibrant as well.

Pros: variety, vegan menu, fresh
