Not bad! - Edit
My first time at a Taco John’s. I did what a previous reviewer mentioned - ordered a taco salad and subbed beans for meat. It’s pricier than Taco Bell, but better than Taco Bell.

Like Taco Bell, but better - Edit
We ordered tacos and burritos with beans and lettuce. Everything was good and the flour tortillas were pillowy soft. No rice but they have potatoes. Taco sauce just like Taco Bell. Staff was friendly and quick service. Not many vegan options in this town so we were happy to get an inexpensive, quick meal.

Great place for a filling meal - Edit
In a town with little to offer vegan-wise, this is a great place to get a complete meal. My husband ordered bean burritos with no cheese. My son ordered multiple beef tacos (sub beans for beef), minus cheese, add guacamole. My daughter ordered taco salad in a fried shell (sub beans for beef), minus cheese and sour cream, add guacamole. I ordered potato ole bowl with various toppings (beans, lettuce, guacamole, tomatoes, taco sauce). All of us got a filling meal for a very reasonable price, and staff was helpful! We ate here more than once!
