Lots of Vegetarian options - Edit
They offered great vegetarian options but not many vegan ones. However you could strip some vegetarian options to make it vegan. I ordered the avocado tempura and kimchi taco. I got steak instead of tofu.

Mixed feelings. - Edit
I have gone to two separate Taco Boy locations and have had two very different experiences.
Read moreI always like to remind myself what I'm getting into when I go to a place that isn't fully vegan, because I know the risk of getting body parts in my food is high so, I get what I got.
The Taco Boy menu does not have a vegan section, but items that can be made vegan have a green notation next to them to make your options clearer.
The tofu is not fresh or marinated. It is deep fried.
When you are ordering, you must emphasize that you want vegan items. Don't just tell them that you want tofu.
My first experience was super smooth. I ordered the two taco platter with the beans and rice and got the kimchi beef and al pastor tacos in their vegan versions. I also ordered a topo chico.
I ordered at this location today and got the three taco platter with the beans and rice and a grapefruit topo Chico. I ordered an Al pastor, a kimchi beef and the spicy shrimp in their vegan versions. I think the person taking my order may have been new, because they had a lot of questions and clarifications about what I wanted off of the menu, but I noticed this and was very clear that I wanted three vegan tacos.
I had ordered to go and did not check my food before I left. I drove to another location to eat by the river and noticed that one of my tacos was not vegan and did not even have tofu in it, just straight up animal tissue and all the toppings that the menu stated it would have.
I did end up driving back to the restaurant to have them fix it, there wasn't an issue and they replaced it with no questions.

Pros: Bright and vibrant atmosphere, Wide open spaces w/outdoor seating, Tofu substitution option
Cons: Only a few conversion options, Vegan options are conversations, not vegan already

Good vegan options - Edit
The tacos won’t blow you away if you’ve been to Mexico, but they are definitely satisfying. I really love the tempura avocado.

Nice vegan options - Edit
While they’re were only a few vegan options, the food was fantastic and it was clearly marked on the menu. The atmosphere was really chill and overall, I would definitely go back.

Decent vegan options - Edit
The place itself feels genuine (I am from Mexico), they have two vegan tacos, tempura avocado and mushrooms. The tempura avocado was quite nice, crispy and the cilantro jalapeño slaw was fresh. I personally didn't like the mushrooms taco, it was smokey.

Great vegan options - Edit
Menu has changed since previous reviews. Clearly marked vegan options. Enough to have the same dining experience as your omni friends and family. My favorite was the tempura avocado tacos but they also had sauteed mushroom and onion tacos. Sides were vegan too. Chips and housemade guac as an app. I will be returning.

Stick with the chips salsa and beer. - Edit
The vegan veggie tacos were mushy veggies. Definitely from frozen. Brussel sprouts were flat mush and size of a penny. I only saw about two or three of them in my tacos. Won’t go back.

Great food ! - Edit
The food was really good and they were willing to alter things for you to make it vegan. Also there were a fair amount of options for vegan and vegetarian. Also it’s really cute inside.
