Amazing - Edit
My favorite spot in town. Always wind up getting the jerk and/or peanut sate tofu bowls, but their sandwiches are delicious too. Good bar and cozy vibes inside as well. I recommend this place to everyone I talk to about the best PDX vegan spots. #Veganuary

Best Mac! - Edit
The mac & cheez here is probably the best vegan restaurant mac I have ever had. It’s a beer cheese with a peppery bite, so not your “traditional” cheese sauce. But man is it good! Portions are huge and prices are reasonable. A great spot!

Better drinks - Edit
The drinks are really fun, I didn’t like the Mac n cheese as much since it was dry nor the pretzels since it was small for the price

Get the pretzel buns! - Edit
We had a great dinner here during our vacation to Portland.
Read moreWe aren’t drinkers (alcohol), but we’re both able to get great mocktails that we’re really good.
For dinner we started with the Pretzel Buns. They were soooo good! We highly recommend them! The two sauces they came with were excellent!
For meals we got a kale caesar salad (which was huge-we for got to take a pic) and the Mac n cheese. Both were good. Just to note for the Mac n cheese: it has a Smokey flavor to it, I know some people like that and some people don’t.

The Mac and Cheese was the best I've ever had and a very generous portion that I struggled to finish! It was also great fun in there, nice relaxed atmosphere for having a few drinks too (making it easy to spend a few hours!)

Grilled Cheese Achieved - Edit
Stopped for a quick late night bite and had the grilled cheese (Violife) with the basil pesto add-on and a side of chips (house-made?) and salsa.
Read moreThe sandwich was very nice (the pesto was worth the extra charge), and priced right. The chips were excellent, too.
Appreciated the availability of a half-pour on my beer...exactly as much as I wanted, for $3.
Sightly disappointed I couldn't try the mac and cheese (limited menu at the time), so will have to go back!
EDIT:
I've since had the mac and cheese (w/ pesto) and the jerk tofu bowl. The bowl was well seasoned and satisfying, with tart-spicy braised or baked tofu. The mac is excellent, far better than nearly any I've had. My honest, omnivorous, choosy dining partner really liked both.

A must in Portland - Edit
Food is amazing and hit the spot, got the Italian grinder and giant kale salad and want to try everything else on the menu. Very nice staff. Three types of seating for variety--outdoor by street, indoor/outdoor back patio, and indoor at the bar or tables. We brought our 1.5 year old and the back patio was perfect, we had lots of space to keep him from bothering anyone.

Best meal I’ve had in Portland - Edit
Hands down, Sweet Hereafter was the best meal we had during our trip to Portland. The laid back ambiance, food, and drink options were all fantastic. The mac and cheese was the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had - and I make it a point to try every vegan mac and cheese option I can. I can’t wait until I can come back here again next time we are in Portland!

Terrific food! - Edit
My biggest complaint was how difficult it was to decide what to order! Fortunately the staff is very friendly and they helped me choose a dish to satisfy my hunger.
Read moreI apologize that I can’t remember the name of this dish but I assure it was delicious and filling (you can’t see the brown rice and beans hiding under the tofu and peanut sauce. I washed it down with an Ecliptic peach sour.

Great Food + Atmosphere - Edit
We stopped in this week and sat outside in the bamboo surrounded courtyard. They have an excellent selection of beer and the food was fantastic. We shared pretzels and a bean shitake spread. Both were delicious. Their "chicken" sandwich was amazing though. So crispy and the cajun aioli was to die for! We will definitely return!

The Savory Hereafter - Edit
I ordered the Eastern Bowl with soy curls. Despite the description, I don't think the ginger peanut sauce is spicy, and I have a very low tolerance. The bowl is simple, but tasty. My only complaint is the broccoli should be cut into smaller pieces.
