Yummy big breakfast - Edit
Really enjoyed the variety of the big breakfast and yummy vegan chai. It was a vegan cafe so not sure why it comes up vegetarian in search. Lots of cakes etc in the cabinet too

Favorite spot in ACT - Edit
Sometimes I come in just for the sausage rolls! They have some really good specials. When they have the bbq Mac and cheese wrap we have to buy two so hubs can take it to work the next day for lunch. Highly recommend this place!

Love the food 🌱 - Edit
So far enjoyed everything that I have ordered. I unfortunately didn’t get photos of everything that I’ve eaten at sweet bones. Definitely recommend if going to Canberra ♥️

The belco bowl has my heart - Edit
I love everything about sweet bones. It was my first introduction to how good vegan food could be back when I was only vegetarian, and really helped with the transition to veganism!

Great to see a busy vegan establishment. Thoroughly enjoyed our Banjo Samich and tempeh sandwich (forgot the acronym). The flu tea was excellent.

The perfect vegan cafe! - Edit
This cafe has everything from breakfast to lunch and brunch in between, from sweet to savoury to big eats and small eats! I got the THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G. ($22.50) basically a vegan version of an English breakfast (from an English person POV!). It was delicious and nice to have a scrambled tofu as I haven’t seen that, some more protein would have been nice like fake bacon/sausage or some beans! It was delicious and full of flavour! They also have lots of sweet treats which I wish I’d tried, the coffee was also very good!

Always brilliant ❤ - Edit
Great coffee, great food. Something has changed about the big breakfast, it doesn't seem to be quite as good as it used to be, but still delicious. Love the Spicy Jack for lunch too. Cupcakes always perfect and a choc banana muffin toast - nom nom!!

It has the vegan food we need - Edit
The food is solid, and what we need. Doesn't bake bread, dispite the name. The staff are bizarrely unfriendly, tired or unhappy. Maybe young people learning. Definitely go for the food.

Lovely food 🙂 - Edit
This is a great little (mostly) vegan cafe spot that I frequent whenever I travel to Canberra. The inside seating area is pretty small and crowded so weather permitting I generally sit outside. The inside decor is cute and fitting though. They have a really awesome range of meals which is very exciting, but I feel that if you're visiting with children, etc it can be quite a pricey and unrealistic experience on this basis. I couldn't see any on their menu, but some children's options would be amazing! Because it's simply not realistic for an average family to pay $15-$20 per child for a breakfast. We absolutely loved our meals and would absolutely return on that basis but if I lived locally I probably wouldn't frequent much with my family given the cost. Service was decent but definitely not as friendly as other places. The outside seating area definitely looks like a bit of an afterthought and could be made much more welcoming.
Read morePros: Great selection of meals , Very yummy!, Never disappointed with my food
Cons: On the expensive side, No children's options/smaller servings, Lacks a level of warmth and friendliness

Use to be better - Edit
This was my favourite vegan cafe in Canberra, but the service is alright but the staff aren’t very friendly. They don't greet with a smile and the baker doesn't reply to emails. My ex fiancé and I tried to get a cake from here for our wedding. They took ages to reply and wouldn't make the cake because it fell on January 1st

But other than that this place has good memories-
.
I really don’t like the rap music they play, it’s too loud.
.
I haven’t been to the new one in Scullan yet

To be fair Sweet Bones close for a couple of weeks over Xmas/New Year period and have always done so (as does half of Canberra!), so not really suprised they wouldn't do a cake order for 1st Jan.

Had breakfast here, served on a lovely plate. The serving size was adequate. Meal (smashed avocado on toast) quality was decent. If I could, I’d be back for a few more meals to try some other items.

Good food but not worth the price - Edit
Great to have an all vegan cafe with creative menu options but to be honest for the price I don't think the food quite meets expectations.
Read moreI've ordered the big breakfast twice and it always missing something that it said it would have with no replacement and still get fully charged.
I ordered a cupcake and think I could have baked the same quality without any baking qualifications, I guess my expectations were higher because I hear that this is the go to place for any vegan.
I will come back and try again one day as I like to hope that maybe I have just been there on a bad operating day or something.
