Best chips around - Edit
I really enjoy the chunky chips they serve here, especially with vegan curry sauce. I love the vegan battered sausage too and the pies. They have a variety of vegan fish options but I haven't tried any of those

Spoilt for choices - Edit
Our visit here was perfect, not only do they offer quite a range of vegan items, they also serve oat milk, vegan ice cream, vegan tartare and vegan mayonnaise. We ordered the scampi, prawns and banana blossom fish and were blown away by the variety of the textures, especially the fish was so unique and innovative, and thankfully not all that fishy flavourwise. The chips were pretty limp but they weren't the stars of the meal anyways. Our waiter was the loveliest lad, too.

Decent chippy - Edit
Battered sausage is salty but tasty, scampi was a bit tasteless but sauce that goes with it was great. Proper chips!

Literally just gross - Edit
Honestly so excited to try here from the Instagram, but it was gross non tasty food along, with terrible customer service and ambiance. I could not wait to leave. The food was so gross I cannot get over it.
Read moreI didn't realise the Instagram was misinformed in showing that they only have vegan options in their stores.

Great vegan fish and chips - Edit
The banana blossom 'fish' really hit the spot, portion sizes were good and there seemed to be plenty of vegan options on offer. Would have again

Greasy death shop - Edit
Vile place profiting from destruction of innocent life and the planet. Trying to cash in on veganism with their greasy ‘tofish’ which is likely cooked in the same oil as the murdered fish.

Good vegan options, average chips - Edit
Not a fan of the chips or Kumara fries - felt like they were not crispy enough or deep dried enough (but I like very deep fried chips). They had loads of vegan options, so maybe some of them were very realistic, but the banana blossom wasn't. It wasn't bad but it was more the batter that made me think of fish and chips. The banana blossom didn't really have a flavour.

Banana Blossom Fish and Chips - Edit
the fish and chips are on point. really crispy and great texture. the banana blossom has a lightly sour, vegetable-ly taste. I would actually prefer something more neutral or more meaty. But texture-wise it comes close to the real deal! evan have a vegan tartar sauce.

Vegan in same oil as fish - Edit
They wouldn't have told me had I not noticed. I thought they famously used separate fryers. It's not true.

Plenty of choice - Edit
The battered banana blossom fish comes very close to regular fish in terms of texture and crispiness. Full separate vegan menu available with starters, mains and desserts. Well done, Suttons & Sons!

Vegan prawns and chips - delicious - Edit
I’ve been here quite a few times. The “fish” is good, but my preference is the vegan prawns, which are really tasty... and I really like the chips. The service has always been really good here and they take extra care with their vegan options.

Don't have too high expections (like me) - Edit
The "fish" doesn't taste like fish at all, looks like a fried piece of fish tho. Didn't like it or the chips very much except of the mushy peas. Hmpf. Sad face.

A saving grace! - Edit
A chip shop on Happy Cow?! Lets put aside that debate for the moment. As a Londoner who has hosted many vegan tourists over the years having a bag of chips is almost always on their "to do" list. Now there is a local chip shop offering a rather good vegan fish in lots of batter with chips for £7.50. I waited 15 mins for my order to be prepared on a Saturday evening and during that time heard at leat 3 other people order the vegan option. I talked to one of the managers and he said they were interested in expanding there vegan range. The fish is not very fishy in flavour but has that realistic fake fish appearance when it emerges from the crispy batter. It was succulent and slightly sweet. The chips were rather good to!

Pros: A vegan option in a fish and chip shop!, Good chips, Helpful staff
