Good takeout breakfast option - Edit
I’ve walked past this stall many times, but I’m not usually there during its early business hours. I finally made a conscious decision to go one morning. Almost all of the menu items are vegan to begin with: adding an egg to your order is an extra charge of NT$5. I’m not a fan of sweetened soy milk, but they don’t have an unsweetened option. I tried the Thai basil flaky pancake (九層塔抓餅) and fried noodles (炒麵), both of which I got to-go since the only table I saw was the one the owner was sitting at with her friend. She was glad to put my fried noodles in a glass container that I brought with me. She also reopened my rolled up pancake to add some spicy chili oil after I noticed it on the counter. I devoured the pancake while I walked: it was lovely! I’d likely come to this spot if I didn’t have time to make my own breakfast in the morning.
