Separate Menu with many Choices - Edit
I appreciate their separate menu that has many clearly listed veg and vegan options. They have some unique ones compared to most sushi places which I appreciate. Fun fact most eel sauce is vegan, check with every restaurant you go to though. The sweet potato business roll is amazing.

Has separate vegetarian menu - Edit
I love that there is a separate veggie menu and it is very straightforward to request everything to be made vegan. They give you a menu card to write on for the sushi and I just wrote “everything vegan please”. The actual sushi was super good, and there are many creative sushis, not just your average cucumber and avocado rolls.

Best sushi in the area!! - Edit
This is the best vegan sushi I’ve had in the DC-area… and maybe ever! They have a separate vegetarian menu, and our waiter helped ensure everything we ordered was veganized (it sounded like the main thing was removing mayo from one!). Delicious, quick, and great vibe. Can’t wait to go again!

Tons of veggie roll options - Edit
There were a bunch of veggie roll options that were very tasty and reasonably priced. We were seated quickly (around lunch) and food came out fast.

Fabulous vegan sushi choices - Edit
Not your typical avocado or cucumber rolls (even though these are available), but actual creative and tasty combinations that are 100% vegan. So Yummy. Highly recommended!

Great sushi - Edit
I loved all the food I got! When I asked, they said the miso soup does not have fish flakes. They also did tell me that the food should be vegan as long as you don’t order the mayo… I was unaware that one of my dishes came with mayo on top, so just make sure to double check!

Downtown Silver Spring Sushi! - Edit
Great spot to go with a mixed group... this place is pretty popular as we had to wait 30 mins for a table (standing outside, because there is not much room inside. the weather was nice so it wasn’t bad).. highly recommend the April roll. Some people might not care, but it’s worth noting that that they use the same oil to fry the fish sushi as they do they vegan sushi... so stay away from any of their crispy rolls or pan fried dumplings if that bothers you as it bothered me.

Best vegan sushi selection - Edit
Loved this place because of the creative vegan sushi selection! 22 totally vegan rolls. I was pleased to see that the menu clearly stated "our vegetable specials and sauces are made from fresh vegan foods", which takes the guess work out especially with ingredients like kimchi and spicy veggie mayo. The "crazy jungle" was my absolute fave. As a precaution, if you're ordering with a non-vegan and do NOT want your sushi plated together with theirs, make sure you specify. My friend and I did not and all our rolls came on a large plate, meaning we had to poke around a good bit to make sure we knew which rolls were which. I found the prices very reasonable, especially compared to other sushi restaurants in the area. Staff was very kind and attentive. The location is smack dab in the middle of downtown Silver Spring, so parking was easy and free on the weekends. Looking forward to visiting next time I'm out that way.

Vegan sushi: check! - Edit
Maybe you don't go to sushi restaurants because, like me, you are afraid of seeing fish flesh spliced apart and tossed onto rice or into seaweed wrapped roll shapes. If that keeps you away, do not go here.
Read moreHowever, if you are with others who eat that stuff and/or go for take-out and/or are tolerant, you will be just fine here as a vegan. The a la carte sushi menu is where you need to go. It is the most unique and tasty blend of vegetables turned into sushi in the entire DC metropolitan area. Most places have a few classic rolls, and maybe jumble up several "classic" veggies (avocado, asparagus, mushroom, cucumber, carrot) into a special roll. Here, they do it an honor by dressing it up with ingredients like mango and mint. You can also order small appetizer salads like bean sprouts, spinach and seaweed salads. It makes veg*n diners feel like you're appreciated and recognized for your dietary choices.
At the end of the day, it is a sushi restaurant (with Japanese entrees like noodles, stir fries and salads), but you have dozens of choices here. There is also some good sake here, too. The prices for the menu items are very fair. Very fair.
Pros: Vegan sushi, Vegan appetizer salads, Price
Cons: Not all veg
