Nomet seaweed croquettes => highly recommended. Not cheap, but normal beachbar prices. Dogs aloud. Fully smoke free terrace!

Great find - Edit
This restaurant was recommended to my by someone who had no idea I'm a vegetarian and I must say it was a great find at the Belgian coast, where my options seem to be limited to fries and (if I'm lucky) a penne al arabiata. This place has plenty of vegetarian and vegan options that are NOT boring.
Read moreLike many other people I tried the seaweed croquettes and found them to be less sea-ish than I'd expected, more like a meat croquette (without the meat of course). Tasty certainly, but if you wanted a sea flavor you might be disappointed.
My partner had a Mexican burger that I stole a bite from and that one was also tasty. I'd love to visit again to try more options.

The seaweed croquettes are great but way overpriced. Same goes for the expensive burger, which comes with some corn chips instead of a small salad or some fries. But you get the best view in Wenduine to go with your food...

Vegan burger on the beach - Edit
Cosy surfers bar right on the beach, offers a tasty vegan burger clearly marked as vegan on their menu. They also have a few vegetarian options ( veggie spaghetti, veggie pizza, salad bowl and a 'boschampignonkroket' ). The soup of the day was vegan - and delicious- when I was there and the salad bowl can be made vegan on request. They also have the vegan magnum on their menu.
