We split a vegan ice cream sandwich (which was a good quantity). Tasted great, my only nit is that there were only 4 vegan ice creams and 2 vegan cookies. That's not bad, but I was jealous of the non-vegan options they had.

Best food I had in Asheville!! - Edit
I was too stunned to speak. This was one of my favorite vegan desserts I’ve ever had. I got a mint chip ice cream sandwich and I have no negative remarks for this. I almost went back and got another.

I love the softness of the cookie sandwich and if you don’t want as much you could get a scoop of ice cream and a cookie on the side. My least favorite thing is that they don’t have many vegan flavors especially seasonally! I would ask all the time if they were getting any and they said they were working on it but never got it when I still lived there at least. The staff was so kind though!

Came here after 9 on a Friday for a sweet treat. They had vegan chocolate chip cookies, and either vanilla or strawberry ice cream. The sandwiches are BIG - my fiancé and I split one and I’m so glad we did. The cookies are DELICIOUS. The vanilla ice cream was super tasty, just be warned if you’re not a coconut fan, def a big coconut flavor! (Which I loved 🤗)

Got the vegan vanilla chocolate chip. The cookies are soft and delicious. I could have just eaten the cookies! The ice cream has a very strong coconut flavor. It is delicious but it definitely tastes more like coconut flavored ice cream than vanilla coconut milk ice cream.

(Eaten during COVID-19 kerfuffle) Currently, all sandwiches are pre-made and individually wrapped. There was one vegan option today, which was coconut milk based vanilla with chocolate chip cookies. It was superb! The ice cream was creamy and the cookies soft. Even after finishing my sandwich, I could taste the individual flavors of the ice cream, the cookie, and the chocolate chips. My husband had a sandwich with ginger cookies and peach ice cream. He said the cookie was the texture of (and looked like) an oatmeal cream pie but tasted definitely ginger.

After reading about the ice cream sandwiches,I had to have one. I had the coconut vanilla ice cream between two flourless peanut butter cookies. It was bigger than my fist so I made my husband share it with me. It was DELICIOUS! My husband isn’t vegan and is an ice cream lover and said he approves too. Wowzas. The service was fast and helpful! And I forgot.. they use compostable spoons and bowls!!

Sunsine Sammie's offers at least two flavors of vegan ice cream. The chocolate sorbet is absolutely decadent; you can't even believe it's sorbet. The vanilla coconut is also really good. More vegan flavors should be coming soon. They've got at least two vegan cookies from which to make the sandwiches. The flourless peanut butter is to die for.
