Good option in Ollantaytambo - Edit
Several items on the menu that can be adapted to be vegan. I had the burrito bowl with beans, minus cheese and sour cream, with the addition of guacamole. Staff knowledgeable about veganism. Overall it was tasty, not overly big, great with the chilli sauce that was on the table. My husband had a regular meat burger and said it was the best burger he's eaten in Peru, so it's a good place to go with omnivores. Just wish there were more purely vegan options.

We were made to feel very welcome here. The owners were knowledgable and friendly. We are a vegan family with various allergies and one daughter is coeliac.

The ingredients were fresh and very tasty. Highly recommend.

Just ask for vegan options - Edit
Just one vegan option on the menu. But they could change at least 4 more dishes to vegan. Just ask, the staff is very friendly and help you not only with vegan wishes. I had the vegan version of the Burrito bowl and it was a tasty and big portion. Also the panini in the vegan way was a filling dish.

Just wonderful restaurant, best view on the 2nd or 3rd floor, great food, nice price for a touristy area and the owners make you feel like Home. All organic and local food. Recommend

Why is this place even listed? - Edit
It seems that American-run places get listed here by default, but there are myriad of better options for vegans in Ollantaytambo. When I went at least, the only vegan option at Sunshine Cafe was the hummus and crudites plate. The portion was small, the price was expensive, but worst of all, the "hummus" was nothing of the sort. It was basically just bland, blended chickpeas, still warm from the food processor. It didn't even have salt. I'd give this place a hard pass. In the same little plaza I had actual vegan meals at the Peruvian restaurants–if you give the local businesses a chance you might be pleasantly surprised!
