Slightly different standard buffet

Your average Taiwanese buffet, but what I like about this one is that it features some slightly different dishes than the other veggy buffet restaurants around NTU campus, e.g. Rice cake (年糕)or fried potato slices in pepper sauce.

Apparently they also offer hot pot, but haven't tried it yet.

Pros: Slightly different food choices for the buffet, Dishes containing egg are labeled

Cons: vegan dishes not labeled (may contain dairy)

Go early for the best selection

After sampling a few of these buffet-style places around Taipei, I think SuDe is one of the cleanest and consistently good.

The first time I came here I was really impressed. They had these amazing bliss ball things covered in sunflower seeds with red bean filling. Yum. The second time I came here late and it was a sad selection of leftovers, haha. So make sure to go early!

It may seem like common sense, but if you go to these buffet places just after they open, you'll get the freshest and most abundant selection of dishes.

Take a paper tray and serving tongs, load up your plate and take it to the counter where it will be priced by weight. Put your rice in the paper bowls (and not on your plate) as rice is priced separately.

Staff were helpful and pointed out which dishes contained egg. Some signage also tells you 'egg' in English.

typical taiwanese buffet

Vegelicia is a typical taiwanese buffet. The food is alright, nothing special. They also seem seem to have special meals you can order, but the menu is only in chinese.

Pros: fast, cheap

Cons: à la carte menu only in chinese

Tasty buffet food

There are lots of vegetarian buffet places in Taipei but this one has great food and nice decor and a friendly atmosphere. You can even come for afternoon tea. They have a whole separate menu for that. Their turnip cake is the best I've had in Taiwan.

Pros: Tasty food, nicely decorated , friendly
