Delicious and great environment! - Edit
My husband an I got the fried artichoke hearts (the sauce that comes with it is not vegan but marked accordingly on the menu). Our waiter offered us a vegan sauce that was made with tahini and it was AMAZING! My husband got the general Tsos tofu and I got a tofu sweet potato curry. It may have been the best curry I’ve had in Norfolk! The general Tsos tofu was wonderfully crunchy with delicious sauce!! Finally, our waiter was precious! Kind, welcoming, helpful! Would highly recommend and WILL be returning soon!

Great place for something a little different - Edit
If you're looking for vegan dinner options in Norfolk, but want something more interesting than a Beyond Burger and fries, check out Streats. Their menu always features several vegan appetizers and entrees. (The barbecue tofu tacos are excellent.) They also have a full bar with a lengthy cocktail menu, and a very nice outdoor seating area.

Be aware, ask questions, read menu carefully! - Edit
We had a late dinner here on a Saturday with a large group of people. I ordered the vegan pot stickers (yum!) and the Vietnamese noodle bowl (also very yum)! These were clearly marked on the menu with a vegan 'V' and I was feeling good! It was rather dark in the restaurant, and I'd had a margarita, and I decided to order one more thing. There was an artichoke appetizer marked with the vegan 'V' and I ordered it as an unconventional desert. When the waiter set it in front of me, my spidey senses went off when I looked at the sauce spread across the plate and decided just to be safe to ask the waiter if it was vegan. He said, "No, that's mayonnaise based.' I was gob-smacked. He was unapologetic and basically just stared at me when I asked why they would serve a marked vegan item with a mayo sauce? He just asked, "Do you not want it?" I said no, and he took it back, no offer to make things right. I am allergic to eggs so this would have been a extra awful experience for me if I hadn't acted like one of 'those' vegans who is constantly second guessing everything at restaurants. This pretty much ruined my perception of Streats, and considering on their website they prominently promote their vegan options, this was a very NOT vegan friendly experience. HOWEVER, in their defense, looking back at the menu, while that app is marked vegan, underneath it in italics is the sauce and it's marked vegetarian. I have never seen this done before and I don't think it's intuitive, and when you're half sloshed at 9 pm and distracted by friends in a dark restaurant, you just see the vegan 'V' and go for it, right? I think they should mark the app as vegetarian and maybe make a note under it that says there's a vegan option with NO sauce or something like that.

Great Alternative - Edit
A cute and cozy establishment with easy parking an access to all the charms of Colley Avenue. The bartender is a great mixologist and the cook has a special affection for vegan fare. If they offered the Beyond Burger (or equivalent), I'd give them five stars.
