I loved everything about this little restaurant. They could have a few more options for vegans but we were very happy with the food that was recommended by the waiter.

Stonehouse is situated in Old Malia and appeals to mature and family travelers. The options on the menu are from fresh produce so the taste is great. Make sure you ask about the vegan options as many dishes contain yoghurt and cheese.

Read moreIn short, the owner is really nice and super accommodating to vegans. There weren’t a huge range of options (we ordered every vegan item I think, see photo) but the food was INCREDIBLE. We even got some vegan chocolate mousse served at the end on the house. The building is stunning and the church in Malia is right next to it - perfect romantic ambiance.
Absolute gem of a find, if you’re vegan you need to try it out. Prices were very reasonable as well! ευχαριστώ!

Food, service and location could not be better. Incredibly pleased with our experience here. Opened for 3 years now. He has plans to steadily increase his vegan offerings. We ordered way too much food but as every bite was that exciting we managed to wipe our plates clean. Rooftop terrace is divine but also main terrace as well. Half is shaded, half in the sun so we could choose. He has a 14 year old cat named Blacky (black/white) who greets the guests. Nice touch.
