Lovely coffe shop in the mountain - Edit
I went there after a hike and it really worth it! It’s a very lovely place with a lot of seats and an stunning view of the Pillatus!
Read moreIt’s a self service place, so you can come in, help yourself, pay and leave. So nice to have these kind of place. I had a chocolate and nuts cake that was tasty, with an organic roibos tea. I highly recommend to stop there for a break 😊

This place is a 10-15 minute walk from the small "Felsentor" train station (on long trains, use the front part of the train as the back part doesn't line up with no platforms). It's a very beautiful place with quite a few sights on the way there, but don't expect culinary highlights in the café. You help yourself to some snacks in the normally unattended café and pay in cash. I certainly liked the vegan cake but it wasn't anything extraordinary. The main attraction is the place and the serene atmosphere of this buddhist meditation centre, with sanctuary animals a little further down the path.

Veganer Kuchen mit schönem Ausblick - Edit
Wirklich tolle Lage sind hier auf unserer Wanderung zum Chänzeli zufällig vorbei gekommen. Es gibt vegane Kuchen und vegane Snacks wie Riegel und Schokolade. Sonntags um 17 Uhr offene Meditation.😄Wirklich eine tolle Überraschung und auch für sich schon ein schönes Wanderziel :)

The Stiftung Felsentor Café is the perfect stop on your hike up to the Rigi. It is a small self serve cafe that belongs to a Buddhist centre and animal sanctuary, so all your expenditure is dedicated to a good cause. You can get different sandwiches, cake, ice cream, some treats and coffee, tea and sodas, all vegan of course! Nowadays they also accept TWINT but preferably you pay by cash, no credit card payment possible.
